I've found the type of games I like are changing as I get older! I didn't used to mind a game with a bit of combat..I loved soul caliber on the Dreamcast and Metal Gear Solid on the playstation and The final fantasy series as well as Zelda.
Now I find myself looking for games with no combat or bosses and don't like fighting and blood in the more photo-realistic games. I love the scenery and animals in some of them but if I have to kill anything I don't like it, especially where its animals look really realistic! And I'm worried by the time BOTW2 eventually comes out I won't like it because there's too much fighting or it gets 'too dark'. What I like about BOTW1 is once past the plateau...if all you want to do is sneak up on the monsters while they're asleep and ride round on the horse you can do! (just avoid the area's with guardians and Lynels!) |

I got Nino Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch yesterday for $9.99 (it was on sale, it’s regular price is $49.99) and I used some of my gold points on the eshop from previous purchases to pay for it so it was completely free.

I bought Family Trainer for more physio exercises...makes doing physio more fun as I never was the gym bunny type!!!
I'm trying to complete the jumino bundle for the greenhouse repairing on SDV but it wants an animal bundle with something from all animals and I don't want cows and sheep on this farm (though was planning to get goats and bunnies later). Cows (and chickens) are on Kenny & Penny's dairy farm ..for making mayo and cheese too. but this means I'm struggling to find cows milk in the Forest Farm game...the shop doesn't sell it! Does anyone know if a village character gifts you cows milk for doing a task for them??? otherwise I'm just gonna have to get the greenhouse by turning community centre into a JoJo's warehouse - though I'm already doing it that way in other game - to get Penny's mum the bus quicker! ...so wanted to do the Jumino's quests in the Forest Farm save file so stuck at the minute in that game |

That would be funny haha But there is an option to sell them, if I recall correctly they just disappear once you pick that option and the money goes in to your account "To sell a coop or barn animal, right-click the animal after petting. The friendship/mood interface appears. Move the cursor over the gold coin button at the right to see how much the animal can be sold for"

What's that one about? I need a new escapism game. I want good scenery and animals that I don't have to hunt or kill and freedom to roam round in my own time. I use video games to escape social demands and finding the downside of SDV the constant quests from other villagers and there's things you can't get unless you've got a certain amount of hearts with a certain character. Is there a game that's completely open world in the sense you don't have to complete any 'people' quests and still get what you need to set up your house/farm? maybe more building than interacting with others to achieve goals? |

I've started a new island on Animal Crossing on the OLED cos the 'transfer an island' procedure seems a nightmare! I'll probably play it to a certain point then switch to another game for a break. Just getting the museum, shop etc to access landscaping, then have a break while I decide what I want to do with this island.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were announced recently, they come out at the end of this year. I'm really looking forward to them!

I beat Pokémon Shining Pearl and have been playing a lot of Pokémon Legends Arceus lately. I'm going to get back into The Witcher 3 soon, haven't played in a couple weeks. I also got a replacement remote for my TV so I can now play games on my Xbox One X and actually control the volume

I'm annoyed that I can't get the cute cottag eon animal crossing new horizons until after I've added an upstairs as I just wanted a small cute little cottageby the sea like the other villagers houses but with one extra room for bedroom and a bathroom.
Also even if you have 2 players on same switch they can't share a house and have a bedroom each you have to put them in the same bedroom. it's so restrictive I'm getting paranoid about being controlled through the game. Went back on BOTW where I can avoid all tasks and just run round at night. I wish there was another game open world where don't have don't have to do main quests and can just do what you want with no expectations. I really like the photo-realistic ones but they are often violent or only on PS or Xbox, there seems to be no choice.... eg hunting games why can't they have a setting where you just track animals down to take photo's cos you're a wildlife camera-person? ..and can have a dog of your choosing to help you track them down? or there's no character creation, first person mode only (which I find very confusing visually). There's one out with a Labrador that look similar to my old dog which is so realistic but I think its a violent shooting game where other characters will attack and kill you even if you can choose not to ever hold a gun? Also think its not available on switch. Can't remember the name now but if I knew it had a setting to turn off violence and just be able to create character (or at least have a female one) and run round freely with my dog I'd splash out on a PS4 or 5! It just seems all the violent games have the most photo-realistic scenery with the most realistic dogs too (like D-Dog in Metal Gear Solid 5) and the more pacifist games are all 'cartoony'. I don't suppose any one knows of a game where you can create and name your own character and have a dog companion you can create and name too? (that doesn't involve any combat) |

I did a dungeon in FFXIV. It was my first dungeon in a long time. I had fun.
