Don’t even know where to post this.

Doctors in my husband’s hospital decided to stop showing up in person and do everything via telemed and some other stuff. They don’t even answer the phone half the time

They don’t see the patients and don’t want to communicate to pharmaceuticals. It causes many many issues, not going to details.

My husband is RN, supervisor of a unit, supervising other nurses and aides on the unit (short staffed obviously), he now has to spend large portion of his shift dealing with pharmacies and with doctors, who don’t show up to work.

He now has couple of aides who aren’t taking this pandemics lightly and now scaring poor patients. He now has to calm down aides in addition to calming down patients. His Tourettes and OCD are through the roof. He himself needs calming. I even wonder if he needs meds increased for his OCD but he really doesn’t want to do that. Not like he is afraid of a virus, it’s just all too much. He also worries that in absence of doctors if something goes wrong on his unit, he’ll go down.

Not really blaming doctors for not showing up but heck what about everyone else!

I don't understand why they don't talk to pharmacies. I hope all this problem will be over before too long. Meanwhile, surely the powers-that-be would know what your husband is going through and be understanding.

Please thank your husband on behalf of us patients for all he's doing,

Thank you so much for your kind words.

Oh I know and deep inside he knows that he will be fine but his OCD is flared up badly and it contributes to catastrophical thinking. Although his OCD is mainly safety related, it sips into other areas. Thankfully he does phone therapy with his t. That helps a bit.

PS They don’t talk to pharmacies because they aren’t physically coming into the hospital so they pushed lots of tasks on nursing staff.
