What got you really excited for a moment or put a big smile to your face recently, even though it was a trivial thing?

A couple days ago I got first dibs on silky men's sleeper boxers. It got me sooooo excited because I've been searching for them for over two semesters. They are soft and cool for when it's hot AND they have deep pockets for my phone and what not which is the main reason why I wanted them so badly.

My mom found a big can of lysol spray in her car from before the chaos which just made me sooo happy. That's my cold-and-flu season sanitizing go-to.

My new puppy (family puppy) brings me so much joy. He's highly intelligent; he's is a big cuddly teddy bear; and he loves being around the family. He also is highly entertaining when he gallops around the room, chases the ball and plays tug of war.

Out in the woods today, I walked on an old road no longer accessible to vehicles and found that my favorite harbinger of spring is shooting up in the wetlands...Skunk Cabbage! Still dark and dappled, thick-skinned open like a pitcher but about to sprout great green leaves.
The air is thick with frog and bird song, hawks fly over, geese and ducks...the old stone walls...

Almond butter and Ritz crackers.

My pants getting looser

Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero

Hearing the phrase “five finger discount” on Spongebob which I haven’t heard since high school.

In the wee hours, not long before sunrise, I noticed in our night skies a peculiar yet beautiful grouping of three bright 'stars'. One I recognized as the planet Jupiter, but since I had not seen the other two in that particular pattern before, I deduced that they must also be planets. So, I looked it up on the internet and sure enough: Jupiter, Mars & Saturn are currently in close proximity to each other.

Having my roommate's cat Hailey come up to me and demand cuddles and having her then curl up on my lap and purr.

A suggestion from a self-help article encouraged I write a list of skills, talents, and gifts that I have. I was very satisfied when I finished 100 (because apparently one page wasn't enough!).

This might sound kinda silly. I did laundry today. Hung sheets and clothes on the line to dry. I'm fresh out of the shower about to crawl into bed with sheets dried on the line and jammies also dried outside. One of my simple pleasures in life.

The only thing I can think of is that I sleep very deeply. It is like a major anti-depressant. I don't take any sleep medication...just trained myself into good sleep hygiene.

You are lucky. I am a very light sleeper and never sleep deeply

Watching the blue heron from the creek next to my farm fly right over me.

I have this little joy every day....going to the barn several times a day & enjoying time with my horse.

Adopting a new blind elderly eskie dog & having him adapt so well to his new home. Seeing his excitement when I fix him breakfast is a thrill. Cool to watch the bond form

Seeing the moon, the amber colored moon, setting on a clear quite starry inner suburban night - from the side of a mountain.

Everything is being postponed until next summer. So maybe next summer is going to be really amazing?

Also I wanted a break from work. I was really struggling and worried I was going to lose my job because of my anxiety and other issues. I feel like these few weeks off may be what I need to be successful at work.

Exploring free music software, VST's - and there's some high quality products - on the internet. Thank you to the developers who are happy to just give away their tech to those on a lower budget.
