IRl I am a hugger. I've even been told I "give good hug" I live alone. Under the current safe at home order I have no face to face contact with other people. I know I'm not the only one.

I'm wondering how you other huggers are coping? I'm craving being able to wrap my arms around someone and hug the snuffings out of them. There's probably no answer to this except wait for the lockdown to end, but it's a struggle.

Do you have a weighted blanket or a compression shirt?

Take a blanket, sheet or towels and make yourself a buddy. I'd probably be doing that if my grandson wasn't here. I can help you with it if you want to message me

Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to get my stuffed kitty out. He's my security blanket. Also going to see if the dog is okay with being hugged.

I'm a side-sleeper. At night I tilt my pillow a bit sideways & wrap my arms around it, one underneath & one across the top hugging it. It is a comfort for me.

I snuggle with my cat. Luckily he is affectionate and likes it. If not for him, I might go insane.

I hug my dog, she is very patient about it. At night I hug myself, the only problem is that it traps a lot of heat and I get too warm.

I hug animals. People I have no desire to hug (except virtual). I don't know I just can't relate to that particular action. I don't even care for shaking hands. I have not in any way benefited from the social distancing thing. Our work goes on as usual. I guess I am a little different, but i would love to be "stuck" at home.

I gave BG, the dog, a hug this afternoon. He was delighted with some one on one mom time. It helped me a bunch. Thanks again for the ideas.

You can hug your horse , give him a good hug around his neck and talk softly to him, good for him, good for you.

@BethRags

Aw, that's nice. I've hugged a few trees too, yes. But mostly I like to just put my hand on their bark and send them a positive message.

Hug my dogs, cat & horse & since I live in the country with other country folk who naturally isolate on our farms, once in awhile I do hug a person. Not like I live in a city where people live on top of each other. Social distancing is our way of life so we know we are ok.

It's starting to get to me, not hugging and not touching at all. You never know how much you'll miss something, until it's gone.
