when was the last time you all went to the dentist.

it's been years for me. litirally years.

The other week fir routine check up it was strange going but glad I did it. My dentist is nice so makes the situation bareable

I think in January or February. I heard Fauci say it’s really dangerous to go in the United States right now. I canceled my cleaning in June and I haven’t reschedule.

Last week. I had to. I broke a tooth and remaining part had to be extracted (it was a wisdom tooth not worth saving) two weeks ago, then it developed dry socket so I went back to ease the suffering. I go to a dentist on a regular basis, at least annually or twice a year. I get lazy to do cleaning twice a year sometimes. I don’t have good teeth so not going to the dentist isn’t really an option.

Of course I hate it but other alternatives are way more gruesome- losing teeth or getting worse problems, no thanks

I have to go back to my dentist. Have not been for 3 years. Scared to go myself just the thought of making a dental appointment brings on panic attacks. Hugs

I believe I went to the dentist last summer. Because of COVID I have to wait until January to go again. I used to like the dentist, but last time the dentist used the max amount of numbing/pain reliever and it STILL felt like they were drilling a hole in my skull it was SO PAINFUL! And other dentists I tried to go to were ripping me off and making me do procedures that not only weren't necessary but were expensive. So now I'm scared to go.

Last time I went was in February. Next time will be soon. I'm calling next week to set up an appointment because I still have some fillings that need to be done.

I went to the dentist in June for a cleaning and felt very safe - but our transmission levels were really low by then.

June this year was the last time I went. I used to be very scared to go. Years down the track I found a very gentle female dentist. She is really kind and patient and gentle. It helps when you feel they have your best interests at heart.

A short few month back. There is an additional issue with sinusitis [related to fillings from 20 years ago] another issue that can cause me to have a lot of pain in my face and jaw bone. This often misleads me in to thinking I have a problem with a tooth. I also tend to have an overproduction of saliva in my mouth when I drop back in the dentist chair that can be most uncomfortable indeed.

I was a couple weeks before the COVID lock down where I live. I'd say specifically lock down was Mid March. My visit to the dentist was late February. However I did take several visits to an oral surgeon during COVID with cautions

My husband and I have been tighter with money. Since we don't have dental insurance, I confess that we stopped going to the dentist, except for emergencies. The last time was maybe two years ago. I ended up being referred to an endodontist for two root canals (both front top teeth). I will say that the endodontist and her team were great. I was initially afraid because of horror stories about root canals, but it wasn't that bad at all. Better than even a cleaning. Plus, it finally brought some relief. Bad part was that it cost me over $3,000.

Sitting in a dentist's chair with your mouth hanging open and letting someone work near your airway can feel very uncomfortable to some people.

I got off the every 6 month schedule because of Covid. They had canceled my appointment, and then I kept forgetting to schedule it again once they were open. Plus they shortened their business hours, so now I have to miss work to go.

My son and I are both scheduled to go next month. I'm kind of looking forward to it because I quit smoking 2 months ago, so I can't wait for them to get the buildup from smoking off my teeth.

I went yesterday and the cleaning was really painful. When I get depressed I ignore my teeth so I also have 4 cavities that I have to have filled. I'll go back the end of June to have that done. The dentist office is only open part time due to COVID which is why I couldn't get an earlier appointment.

Two years ago, just after Christmas. I got two root canals at an endodontist office literally the day before Christmas Eve. Then my dentist had to give me the permanent fillings for them after Christmas.

I have not had dental insurance in the US for years. That’s why I rarely went for three years. Between the dentist and endodontist, I spent about $3,300 on those two teeth that Christmas time. All 100% pay out of pocket. Ho, ho, ho! It was a merry Christmas. Such highway robbery is not the case in the country I now live in.

Over a year ago, my husband had a molar break in half. The US dental surgeon wanted $5,000 to give him a crown. Hubby just pulled the loose half out himself and has lived with that since. Once we finally get public insurance in our new country, that will be covered. Such dental procedures are considered included in health insurance. No need for extra insurance for dental.

That's good news. It's really hard for poor people in the US to get dental help. Often they just have to have teeth pulled.
