Hi folks,

The last days of summer are a great time to help out a fellow member who's in need of our great community's support. I know this is a difficult time for many of us, but for some, it's been made especially hard with financial burdens.

Many of you know Nix, who's been a member here for over 5 years, since 2015. She needs help to get through a tough financial spot due to a number of bad things coinciding at the same time, and further hurt by the coronavirus pandemic. With winter coming, she needs our support.

This member has submitted an application, which has been reviewed and approved, for a Community Connection Grant from our nonprofit, the Psych Central Community Connection.

I'm asking you to please consider donating to this Community Fund Drive. I know that a financial contribution may not be possible, so if that's the case, please leave your prayers and thoughts privately or in this thread.

Psych Central will match dollar for dollar of every dollar donated (up to the maximum of $250; $500 total to the member). Every dollar counts, so even if you can afford just $5, please consider this request.

Donations can be made through PayPal (using your credit card or bank account) to us at:

DONATE | Psych Central Community Connection

Otherwise, send your check or money order (no cash, please) to:

Psych Central Community Connection
55 Pleasant St., Suite 207
Newburyport, MA 01950

Everyone who donates gets access to our exclusive Poohbah Forum, and our thanks for helping out another member in need in our community. In addition, donations are tax deductible as allowable by law, as the Psych Central Community Connection is a recognized 501(c)3 public charity.

This Community Fund Drive will run for approximately one week; donations will close on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

As always, I thank you for your kind consideration and support.

Best,
DocJohn

In regards to the Healthline acquisition of Psych Central, the community fund drive is a program of the independent nonprofit organization, the Psych Central Community Connection. It is not affected by the acquisition, and we will continue to hold these fund drives in support of individual members indefinitely. (Due to the acquisition, however, the nonprofit organization will be updating its name in the future. I'll let you know when that happens.)

Thank you very much; I appreciate the assistance and I know many people here do not have much to give so I am especially appreciative in this time of need. I hope to be able to help support others once I get back on my feet.

When I clicked on the donate link I got this: Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to psychcentral.org. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Someone help? Thanks, Kit

Hmm, I'm not getting that error. Any information on your web browser, OS, anything that might help us troubleshoot what you're seeing?

You can also donate directly on PayPal by sending us money through paypal.com to: donations@psychcentral.org

I tried on Firefox and Google Chrome. I'll see if I can open it on my phone. Okay so I was able to use the operating system on my phone which has a google browser to donate, so I guess problem solved.
