Does anyone else think that seems a bit ridiculous? Especially since the person having the baby makes a ton of money? My mom said it sounds like she just wants people to give her stuff. I don’t know. I wasn’t invited anyways thankfully.

It actually was pretty nice according to my mom. They did get out of the car and just stood around the front yard and talked for half an hour. No games though. I felt bad I didn’t go just for my cousins. I mean people were just kinda confused as to what to do with me when sending out invitation texts. Since baby showers are technically just for women. So I just said no. But there were a couple guys there. But the whole thing was just pretty confusing overall. But that’s just how these cousins are.

Not sure about cake but they did give me a bag with 3 pink bakery cookies. One is shaped like an elephant, the others are smiley faces wearing face masks. Also there were a handful of Hershey kisses and a bottle of orange juice in the bag.

I was invited to a baby shower two weekends ago. Not even drive through. Pregnant girl has all kind of health problems. I sent a substantial gift but I didn’t go. She understood but why would she even consider a party. She says we’d all be outside. I don’t know anyone there but her parents plus they aren’t very “with it”, they are I think “anti maskers”. Plus I’d not jeopardize her health either.

I think it also depends on whether the mom to be needs anything. If its a second child I would be less inclined to go or send a gift.
