anyone started thinking about it?. what are you all doing?

christmas music channel started this week in the UK so got me thinking ahead to december.

going to be another lonely christmas at home, but I am really looking forward to things like the decorations and lights, and the christmas turkey

gift wise I'll be ordering my own off amazon, I need a few new electrical things for the house (like a new fridge, if I can aford it. probably not)

not going to put any of the decorations up though yet, I have halloween first

but defenetly thinking about christmas and tuned to the music station

It all depends on Corona for me. If my sister and her family feel safe coming up it will be a regular Christmas. If not then then we’ll see what happens.

I still plan on giving and getting gifts no matter what. But I enjoy spending time with my family and eating Christmas Eve and day dinner more.

I already started shopping for gifts. Matter of fact I bought my first gift for a friend last spring! I pick up things through the year. Started it when I was broke and had to spread out my spending. Discovered I liked getting things I saw that I thought people would like throughout the year. I just kept doing it. My goal each year is to be done shopping by Dec 1st.

I like to wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving to put up directions. I wish stores still did that. Wally World put out Christmas stuff a couple of weeks ago. It's right next to Halloween decorations. By the time Christmas gets here it's all beaten up from sitting on the shelf and I'm sick of looking at it.

As for what I'm going to do on the holiday, it's going to depend on Covid. I have a friend I usually spend a few days with, but she has relatives that come from out of state. I'm concerned about possibly taking her the virus or getting it from her relatives.

Most likely I am going to be alone, just like I have been in the last 40 years or so. There was a time that it really got to me, but not as much anymore. It's still a bit painful, at least, knowing I will be alone for that day.

How could I think about Christmas now when it's so hot outside. Well, at least I look forward to the cooler weather.

Spend time with my family, get gifts for them, have a nice dinner, decorate, listen to Christmas music, and watch Christmas movies. And enjoy all the snow

The six of us in my immediate family are hoping to go to a time share condo in Williamsburg, VA. I've almost completed Christmas shopping and I, too, wait until the day after Christmas to put up decorations. I won't put up as many since we'll be gone on Christmas day.

I've been buying Christmas presents. I just have to get some stocking stuffers and maybe one more thing each for Mom and Dad. Then I can concentrate on buying toys for the toy drive for Church. If I can, I'll try to spend about $200 on toys for the Church giveaway.

Oh and I bought an artificial tree to put up in my office at work this year. Just a little three footer. So excited though.

I’m fairly certain that mum and I will be home alone. I look for my sister and bil to stop in before hand and visit and various nephews will probably drop off flowers for mum but not come in. Pretty certain that if the family does get together this year we aren’t going cause mum is just too high a risk. This is Minnesota so it would have to be indoors with all the windows shut.

I guess it's almost that time of year. For the past 6 years I have been alone for Christmas day. Though I think once I ate out with my mom. No one's going out to eat this year cause of the virus. It's Okay. I may make my own turkey. I get the small turkey breast. It taste great and turn it into turkey salad. My cats don't like turkey so they'll have tuna. I guess I can make the best of that day. Though it is usually a very sad day for me.

I have not thought as far as Christmas yet. We usually go to my Aunt's house. But they aren't in me and my parents bubble. Me, my parents, and my brother will probably have a small cozy shindig. I sure miss my extended family. But it'll be nice with just us I'm sure.

I haven't done anything on Christmas day since my children grew up. The past few years my husband and I have gone to dinner on Christmas Eve, which was nice.

This year covid will certainly prevent any kind of activity, so I'm sure I will be alone with my cats. I enjoy Christmas music, though - and the cooler weather!
