What is some gross food you have had before?
Tonight I had a couple bites of Bear Country Creek beer and cheese macaroni and cheese. I don’t know, but I guess I didn’t expect it to taste exactly like beer and cheese. But it tasted like straight up beer. It was the grosset mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I had some budding corn beef a couple years ago. I took one bite then I actually had my mom stop the car so I could spit it out. Not sure if it went bad or if it was supposed to be that way. There was also this Russian drink I bought that I thought was Russian cola. I’m not sure what it was but it was for sure not cola. I automatically spit it out on the garage floor. __________________ I'm Blue |

I still can't stand the smell of Parmesan cheese. But it's a good thing I don't eat dairy anymore. Blech.

I remember getting some of that powder Parmesan cheese on the palm of my right hand and I tried licking it off and it tasted so bad. For years I swear I could still smell it on my hand.

I left work early a few times as a result of McDonald’s breakfast. It just makes me super tired and then nauseated after.
I had it a couple weekends ago and I immediately went home and took an hour nap despite being fine and sleeping through the night before. __________________ I'm Blue |

I like almost anything. I'm willing to try new things too. I don't like kale. And I'm on the fence about Brussel sprouts. I guess it depends on how it's prepared. I like California Rolls but I can't stomach Sushi. Sometimes I like lima beans, but for the most part, I try to stay away from them. Oh, I can't eat lemon chicken. I think the lemon ruins it.

Ive tried a mcdonalds breakfast sandwich 3 times, separated by years, different stores, and every time i immediately run to the john. So thats a definite no-go (or yes-go?!) for me!
Im weird, i love lima beans. I prefer frozen, but i will eat canned. Im kinda doing the Starch Solution right now, only plus coffee and shortbread cookies for breakfast! I cant be perfect, im human! |

My stepdad used to make this Russian soup....No idea what it is actually called we always just call it Russian Soup, and I never could get myself to like it. Same with Saag Paneer. I'm not the most adventurous eater, I'll try most anything but can't promise I'll like it, but my stepdad will eat anything and my dad is the pickiest eater I know.

Most things taste good to me but when I was in Rome years ago, one of the locals wanted me to try drinking campari. I took one sip & couldn't get even another sip down. Grossest flavored drink I have ever tried

I've traveled (and in some cases lived) in different countries around the world. Though all had a number of delicious food options, there have been some that I definitely disliked. A few include:
Taiwan:
China:
Czech Republic/Central Europe:
USA:
Innards (liver, kidneys, heart) and snapping turtle or tripe soup. Definitely not my cup of tea. Nor am I fond of brain (sweet breads) or the fish called shad, which is a big deal in my childhood hometown. Not only is shad unappetizing, but sometimes people even eat shad roe, which is even yuckier. What they do is to fry the roe, often with bacon or some other add-in. Truly only an acquired taste! Peru:
Obviously, I do give foods a fair shake. Last edited by Soupe du jour; Nov 24, 2020 at 10:25 AM.. |

Tried a bite of horse sandwich in Europe and one bite of ostrich in Australia, that’s it one bite. Do enjoy eating octopus and clams if fresh, and learned to like these in Europe.

In Istanbul, I had something that translated as "calf's fourth stomach liner soup" which tasted like fermented grass. Luckily it was just the entrée and it was followed by the "mixed lamb platter" which included liver, stomach, brain, intestine, testicle and an eye. I hated the soup but, given the opportunity, I would gladly have one of those lamb platters again.
