My rota was highlighted on yesterday’s date, which I took to mean I’d been down to work originally, but was now off. I had asked for the day off anyway, but the other cleaner wanted that weekend off and boss said she’d try to cover it.
And nobody rang up to see where I was or if I was coming in. But apparently nobody else went in to clean, either, according to one of the other girls
It was an honest mistake on my part, but I’m kicking myself, even though I’d already been in every day until then.

Mistakes happen, don't beat yourself up over it. I'm sure this is not the first time something like this has happened so I'm sure your boss will understand.

Yea, just explain the situation to your boss. You would have been there if you knew the full picture. I think your boss will understand.
