I’ve been wanting to get a couple simple tattoos for a while, but the main thing holding me back now is - similar to a previous thread I made - I’m just worried at some point, whether 1 year or 5 years from now, my interests could change/fade and I’ll end up with tattoo(s) of things I’m not even interested in anymore.
I mean, at this point I’m still deeply and greatly interested in and amazed by the things I want tattoo(s) of, and honestly don't really see that changing anytime soon. But again like I mentioned in a previous thread, all my life I thought music was my lifelong interest/passion up until a few years ago when that changed. So I guess I’m just looking for some others' ideas, or opinions and input on the matter is all…

I really want to get a tattoo of a butterfly on my wrist, and I'd get it, if it wasn't for the fact that my pain threshhold is so low. I don't think I could cope with the pain.
people have said to me if it means that much to you, you should get it done, but ugg the pain scares me and I don't think it's going to happen. |

![]() Or ![]() The telescope & atom would be for certain on both/either wrist, and the aircraft below would be less important and I would get at some other time.

Well, to be honest... I've been thinking more and more about maybe admitting myself to a hospital/mental health facility lately to start receiving professional help again, and I just kinda wanted to get at least the telescope done before I do is all.

I wanted to get a tattoo when I turned 40 but it took an additional 2 years to decide. Below is the one I got.
![]() Ignore the sunflower. What I am going to do next is have small flowers added to symbolize my kids and family via their birth month ![]() I am using this chart to pick them. ![]()

I like the telescope! I don't believe you will regret it; astronomy will most likely be something you are interested in all of your life.
I'm covered with tattoos; I love them.

I’ve got tattoos as well. It’s somewhat therapeutic to me. The pain isn’t that bad. I always tell people, if you can get through the first fifteen minutes you have it made. For me, after fifteen minutes the endorphins are kicking in and it’s pretty numb by then.
Just make sure you want what you get inked. I like the pictures. |

If you get them get them on the areas of your body that could be covered If need to. Choice of an arm or a leg is wise. I do like the atom one

I have enjoyed looking at all of the great pictures in this thread, the ships, atoms, and also the flowers. I think tattoos tell great stories most of the time and if it is something you truly like I am sure you will not regret them. Starting is a great way to branch off from your original tattoos and discover all sorts of artistic pathways to follow to either portray yourself as a piece of art or tell the story of your time on this planet, either way you look at it, I am scared of needles and have no tattoos.

Finally got the simple main piece I've been wanting for quite a while 😀
Note: It's on my wrist and the picture is of course of my wrist, so hopefully not but I wasn't really sure if it would be any sort of trigger or anything... https://i.ibb.co/bRTQD7C/130702347-1...29408050-o.jpg
