I love funny grandkid stories.
I'm sure not everyone here has them, but I do. I'm not such a great grandma, so they really amaze me with small things sometimes. Here's a couple of my stories. I raised five boys. I have four granddaughters and one grandson. I have no clue about those granddaughters. I know boys much better. I will admit, the girls are extremely adorable. I was visiting with my oldest son. Two of his three girls were getting ready for school. He told them--"Go have Grammie brush your hair." They came to stand in front of me, turned around nicely so I could do so. What the heck? I didn't know how to brush little girls' hair. I gave it one heck of a try though. Brushed their hair very gently, fussing at my son the whole time. I told him that I didn't want to hurt the girls. I think I did ok. On Christmas Day, I thought I would traumatize the two that live closer to me. We were sitting on the couch, talking, and I took my bottom teeth out and showed them. My granddaughter was delighted. When I put them back in, she wanted me to take them out again. I did. When she wanted to see them one more time, I told her no, that was enough. I looked at my grandson, and he had such a horrified expression on his face, I had to laugh. So those are my stories. I'd love to hear someone else's. |

I have one grandson and one granddaughter, but I don’t get to see them this year because of the bloody virus 🦠. I’ve no idea what to do with boys. But they both loved my Christmas gives, that’s goood.

I'm not a grandma, but I miss my young cousins so much. They're adorable, I love them, and I miss them.

I have one granddaughter, well she is step granddaughter. One of my stepdaughter’s kid. But she calls me “grandma divine” so she is my granddaughter. My stepdaughter doesn’t use “step” in reference so we followed her lead
She is 5 but is exceptionally smart with rich vocabulary. My stepdaughter was talking about how kids sit on their butts in front of a computer (her school is online). So I asked a little one “what are you learning at school, besides seating on your butt”. She looked at me and said “hhhm that’s called sarcasm” lol We took her to see Christmas lights and entire time she spoke like a grown up or old lady “aiaiai how many lights”, “oh gosh look at these lights” “oh my goodness look at this” she cracks me up My own daughter is going to try for a family soon. I can’t wait. I am relatively young but I am ready! |

divine, she does sound like so much fun. Children are so wonderful. I really enjoy the ones I am able to spend time with. I have two here, three that are far away. I wish the other three were closer. I think we all enjoy the time together, the bigger kids as well. I miss family time.
