Hey guys looking for thoughts/ideas... I mainly post on bipolar but this isn't a question related to that
My Birthday is in a few weeks time looking for inspiration as to what to do. I live in Scotland and we are currently on a full lockdown meaning we can't do anything. Bare in mind it will be freezing its currently -6 degrees here lol. I am a Twin and we plan on breaking yes breaking the laws just to see each other we have never had a birthday apart. This will be very weird our Birthday last year was pre Covid-19 so we had a month or so of celebrations. We are big on our birthday our 30th lasted a full year of monthly/fortnightly/weekly celebrations lol. So any ideas guys? |

I have done Zoom parties. There are also games you can play online while on Zoom. Check out About – Jackbox Games
With kahoot, you can write your own trivia questions (maybe facts about the two of you for the rest of the guests to guess): Kahoot! | Learning games | Make learning awesome! It will be different this year, but there are still ways to have fun. |

I actually forgot my birthday is in a month. That’s how much I care about my birthday. I will be 28 and I am dreading when I turn 30 in 2 years. It just seems so old to me personally.
You could get carry out. Or delivery. That’s what I probably have planned. My moms is the next day. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Oh yes it's colder the higher you go lol.... its like a constant ice rink outside but cause we have had mild weather/winters for 5 years or so we forget how to live in cold temperatures. Worse winter of my adult life was Nov/Dec 2010. The country came to a standstill public transport stopped as it was too dangerous. Where I live there are loads of wee braes (hills) so the buses were getting stuck etc

Hi Miss Laura. I am sorry to read this and I completely understand. My birthday is next weekend and I am not making big plans. The main plan is a barbecue and a nice bottle of wine with just my husband. Our municipality is in phase 3 right now, so outdoor dining is allowed and we generally have freedom of movement. However, I don't really feel safe going out to eat yet. The other issue is that things here can turn on a dime. Cases have been on the rise and we may face more restrictions next weekend, you never know. If they put us in phase 2, we are back to weekend lockdowns with only essential services open. At least it's summer, so the weather is nice. If we are allowed out, we may do a drive to a brewery by a lake I want to check out. But, I am feeling pretty pessimistic due to the increasing case numbers.
The constant changes in phase are really disorienting too. We've been in all phases from 1 (strict lockdown) to 4 (initial opening, nearly back to normal) since just September. It gives you whiplash and makes it impossible to plan anything even a few days in advance. This is a milestone birthday for me and I had planned a big trip, so it is kind of depressing me that I can't do that. I don't know what is open under lockdown there. Can you at least maybe order some special takeout food you like or ingredients to make a special meal? I hope you can figure out something special to do within the restrictions. It really sucks, doesn't it? Hugs! |

Hi! Today it's my birthday and it was important for me to do something...luckily at least a friend could come with an excuse for a short visit and we had cake together and a video call with our other friends. You could have a virtual party too. Maybe if nobody can come at your home you could plan that everyone will have a dessert at home and you can eat it together during the call? Or with a hot chocolate or something nice to drink. Just to have a party atmosphere. And then you can just spend a relaxing day doing something nice.
Hope your birthday goes well __________________ "I'm not beautiful like you. I'm beautiful like me". |
