Current residence i am at, from what I can remember, is my worst dealings with the subject yet. I rent and have always rented so I'm not handy ... I do suspect that we have drafts.

I can't recall a place where I've lived that my throat was so dry in the middle of the night and by morning I've simi lost my voice due to the humidity. Not to mention the static electricity and the power that came with the shocks! Poor animals I live with have been shocked and we all shock one another. I've seen some zaps that I've worried about some electronics ((but I'm a worry wart so don't read too much into that)).

I started an areo garden and my little leaves that have sprouted I noticed are a little curly and I fear they too are being effected. But they are tomato plants and I read on one website they should be ok.

Perhaps I'm just forgetting but I really can't remember a place I've lived before that's had this low humidity. Thus been researching on what can I do.

I didn't change states so I'm used to the aired high climate where I'm at. Sure it's always been dry but " darn dude" this is a bit much.

I got a rather large area humidifier, then bigger defusers for the bedrooms ((as i like aromatherapy and my little one wasn't cutting it and my previous large one hit the hills a while ago)), but still issues with dryness.

Due to I'm afraid of making it too humid (thus having adverse effects like mold and so on) I did get a weather station that has 3 sensors for the rooms and one outside. I like to have the one outside as I can check the weather sites to see how close my reader is stating vs what another tool says and so far fairly close.

I got another humidifier to put in my bedroom which seemed to help and the humidity went up 10% from yesterday. But the living room (which already has the first humidifier) hasn't budged on readings for humidity and ranges 25-30% per the reader.

I am thinking of contacting my leasing office to inquire if they can come help here soon, as I am not sure how to fix the seal on the door that I see light come from in the day.

Besides these things anyone else have some real life suggestions that has worked for them?

I know , for me internally stay hydrated, lotion, and nose mist; and animals always have water.

I've never really lived anywhere with low humidity.

I'm the other way around. I am used to a dry climate. We've had unusually humid weather here lately and it's worsening my allergies.

I hope you can find a solution.

Our humidity here is quite low. I boil a big pot of water on the stove. It's especially nice to put pleasant smelling herbs or whatever in the pot.
