What food is dense that takes a long time to chew? I already eat Little Debbie cosmic brownies and I just started eating Ezekiel bread today. I really like eating thick chewy foods for sensory reasons.

You know I don’t really care for the taste of jerky but I eat it because I like the chewiness of it. I didn’t know this chewy/dense food thing was a sensory issue until my two therapists brought it up.
I also like eating entire bags of baby carrots in one day because of the crunchy noises and they take so long to eat.

I eat barley as a side dish, just like rice. It's pretty chewy.

I got some chewy caramel and some baked beans today. My mom says we have kidney beans. I have a lot of jerky. I’ve never had barley before but I should try it.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
