Carla Wallenda, Surefooted Mainstay of a High-Wire Act, Dies at 85 - The New York Times

Why am I posting this? I'm a little weird, that's all.

I always admire people who do things like that. It takes guts. And it also takes a fierce commitment to what they're passionate about.

Certainly an interesting type of existence. I mean, it shows that if from a young age you are taught not to fear certain dangers, you just don't. Or at least not that much. Of course I know that by human nature people instinctively fear certain things, but others are learned fears. Question is if we can conquer certain fears? When is it good to and when not?

I liked her quote that was the last line of the article:

"When I am out there, all of my pain and all that goes away, and I am in a world of my own.”

Quite meaningful!

Interesting & fascinating she was physically capable of performing into her 80's, almost up to the end of her life.
