Did anyone ever wear these in the 90’s? I was too young but I had a couple older cousins who’d wear those and my one cousin had his tongue pierced and he’d often dye his hair weird colors. He smoked pot too. He was a classic 90’s-early 2000’s stoner. Now he has a pot belly and is slightly balding and works a regular office job and the most interesting thing I’ve seen him wear is a Rick And Morty shirt. He’s always been really nice to me even when I was little.

I did have a pair of orange and black Tripp pants in 2006 and 2007. But I wasn’t allowed to wear them at one treatment center and after that I grew out of them.

I also had a pair of parachute pants that I regularly wore in 2010. They were my normal waist size. And I think you have to get a size or 2 bigger when you buy those. So they didn’t look outrageously huge on me.

I liked parachute pants. Except one night I was at work in a cafe and the pants started ripping. It was bad. I taped the rips together, but it didn't work very well, they just kept ripping apart. I was sure glad to get home that night!

I like how you described your cousin (then and now) so vividly.

My friends in high school called them "ska pants." Probably related to the music genre (which sucks, imo). They were banned in my hs eventually, bc someone tripped on them and fell down the stairs...

I was in high school in the 90s, but don't remember those jeans at all. Then again, I didn't really keep up with fashion.
