Is there any traditional painters here? What’s your favorite medium to paint with? I just started painting around 5 months ago and currently exploring different mediums like acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastels, etc. I would like to see your paintings too if you don’t mind sharing. I like to see other people’s artworks as I find them to be inspiring

There are some artists on the forum; hopefully they'll see your post.

I started painting around 2011 (in my late 50's) mostly acrylics. Have practiced drawing techniques just sketching with friends (we had a weekly group we met & did drawings) I have experimented with watercolor.....one turned out really good of a donkey. Haven't had much time to paint these last 2 years but I am working on a painting gift with raccoons on a big wooden S for the little girl's name. Did one with an E for her older sister with a fox on it. Painted a chickadee on a roof shingle for a friend.

I did mostly drawing, and dabbled a little in painting, for years when I was younger but got burnout and only do it now and again these days. The last thing I drew for someone else was a horse’s head, that one of our neighbours requested. He doesn’t own a horse, just likes them and found their forms quite interesting (he’d recently taken up art himself, too).

I used to like acrylics, but now I like oils, they may dry slow but to me that's part of the reason I like them. TBH I haven't painted in a while, I should get back to it.

I like watercolors. I have done a few things. Mainly I am a digital artist but I like to work with my hands from time to time. I also like to doodle and color. It's fun.

I wish you the best on the artist's road and hope you enjoy finding you way around the artist's world. I went the self thought road myself and tend to explore a number of different mediums. Right now i am trying my hand at the Bill Alexander method.
