I have a medical appointment every week. I'm booked through the end of June. And then I have to make more medical appointments. On top of that, I have appointments for my pets and other appointments like hair, eye and dentist. I can't deal with it. I'm agoraphobic. For the next few weeks. I have two appointments a week. What makes it so hard is getting dressed. I have a fear of the shower. I hate leaving my house. I had some people ask me to coffee. I can't even do that. My mom and sister went out to eat recently, I couldn't even go.
Do you have lots of appointments and stuff? How do you deal with it? __________________ ‘Live for now,’ ‘This too shall pass,’ ‘Everything is happening for my good.’ |

I tend to have an appt every 2-3 weeks to see my mental health team, monthly injection, weekly therapy session (phone call). Sometimes I just have to use the taxi cars here as my anxiety is so high I can't use the bus. I've never cancelled an appt thankfully. I use to pre covid plan lunch date before or after my appt with someone so if I'm struggling I had to be out cause I was meeting this or that person. Now though it's just me,myself and I. My mental health team isn't city centre so there is no food outlet beside it unfortunately. So I just wing it. Like now my appt is in 30 mins I've missed my bus so I'll need to taxi it which is fine its a 10 minute car ride unlike a bus ride

Absolutely no appointments but having a small farm I am always needing to go out & get supplies or an emergency run to get something I don't have. It is just part of life for me. Life was busier when I had my computer engineering career & was also performing on my flute in small chamber groups. Kinda glad that phase of life is over. Now I pretty much do what I have to do & then adapt the rest. I do have phone appointments with a lawyer 2100 miles away trying to clean up a legal mess my EX created but that is no set appointment but as needed.

No, not really. For over a year I had no appointments. Then a week or so ago I saw my GP. Now I have an appointment for PT and one the following week for my hearing aids. I’m not home bound by any means but I don’t go out much.

Yes, I have a series of appointments - and need to make more. I am moderately agorophobic. I try not to think about it, then when I step out the door and lock it I feel slightly better. By the time I'm driving the agorophobia is lessened quite a bit. After an hour or so it's even less. So when the agorophobia creeps into my mind before I leave my apartment, I picture myself driving in my car an hour later. I also try to treat myself...stop somewhere for some tea or something. If I have a bit more money, get a pedicure or buy something for myself.

During the summer I would have 2-3 appointments a week. I’d have them with my primary doctor and my therapist and my surgeon and then some medical issue would come up and I’d need an immediate care visit or an ER trip and I’d need some kind of procedure or exam and then I’d have to go to a specialist several times. I also did a 5 day a week 4 week IOP last winter.
Now things have died down and I usually just have therapy now. But this week is kind of full. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

I decided to try the coffee date. I'm pushing myself. I want to have some fun. So it would be nice to leave the house for something relaxing. It's the nerves prior to leaving the house that get me. Once I'm in the car, I am okay. Though I do get a little nervous driving. I picked a coffee shop just around the corner. So that way I don't have far to go. Thursday I wanted to do emissions, but I may wait until later.

Hope the coffee date went well!
I have quite a few appointments for myself and the cat. Plus I have to go to work (although only 3 days a week now). It's actually not leaving the apartment that scares me, but I hate driving. I'm not good at it and it makes me anxious. Wish we had better public transportation or I could get a chauffeur. |

I have a monthly injection, an appointment with my psychiatrist every 2 months or more frequently if I’m doing bad, and my therapist every few weeks.

I have three appointments next week. Two are medical and one is for my cat. It's time for her vaccines. I'll just take it one day at a time.

What you said in the OP describes me. My dad always used to say, a mans home is his castle - NOW i understand! Staying home was my favorite thing about covid. An appointment ruins my whole week.

No. I don't go to therapist anymore. I only go to the doctors when the problem becomes too unbearable. It always give me a panic attack. To deal with it, I always play puzzle games on my phone. afterwards I feel relieved to know my diagnosis.

As a few have said try and keep the appointments in a workable order. Three a week or so.
I used to be a very busy bee in years gone by. However even thought I was encouraged by my T and by the psyc Dr to be more social and meet people after having a breakdown, I have found my true self likes to be alone and well away from people in general. I am as I mentioned before quietly content with my life as a painter and photographer. Appointments are something I keep to a minimum. I hope you find a good balance in your calendar book. Best of luck. __________________ A daily dose of positive in a world going cuckoo Humour helps... |

I've decided that 3 appointments are too much so I am rescheduling one. Plus I have to do my emissions. I am really stressed out about next week. And I'm having a surgical procedure done Monday. That has me very anxious.

Next week I take both cats to the vet. I'm anxious about it cause I have to catch them and put them in the carrier. One is sort of easy to catch but neither like the carrier. I'm dreading it. But it has to be done.

This week I have a FaceTime with my surgeon tomorrow, in person therapy on Wednesday, and a FaceTime appointment with my primary on Thursday. I’m glad this week is full after these last 3 boring days and I’m hoping to get a number of questions answered at all 3 appointments. The only one that makes me nervous is the therapy one. Although on Thursday I may be refereed to a specialist since my weird issue from a few weeks ago came back.

I have therapy tomorrow, Thursday I have a coaching call and Friday I take my cat to the vet. I did emissions today. I'll take my other cat to the vet next week. Saturday I'm having someone assemble a bookshelf for me,
