I just spent some time cuddling with my purring cat. The vibration is very soothing. They've done studies that show it lowers blood pressure.

Yes, that is why we have a house full. We lost our Beagle mix two weeks ago and there was a little stray that someone had dumped downtown here, and after a week of watching him out in the heat I decided I'd take him home. I checked all the lost/founds and nothing. I had him neutered and his teeth cleaned. We named him Lucky.

I have two kitties & two small senior doggos. They definitely provide comfort & support. Ease the stress & depression. I have stage 4 uterine cancer & am going through treatment. Our animal companions help a lot. Depending on what we're dealing with, we may also need some other types of assistance to help us manage things.

I have almost always had a cat in my life, and they have brought me mostly joy over the years. My girl kitty is especially good at comforting me by snuggling close, and checking on me throughout the day.

Only once in a while do they get on my nerves. I usually take that as a sign that I need to check my attitude, and adjust it a bit.
