For the second day, I have a headache.
Atmosphere is thundery, air humid and showers not clearing it. Don't like resorting to painkillers, but now need to take some. Didn't sleep very well, too warm so that may be contributing. Does anyone else react in this way? Apparently it's something to do with your body reacting to the electrical charges in the atmosphere. |

It's the change in barometric pressure that causes this around the storms coming in & passing through.
My joints will ache where I have had injuries too & yes, I had continuous migraines for about 20 years. Have gone away but there are times when one will be triggered again. Luckily my last pain specialist found a simple (old ) treatment for migraines that now works for me & no pain killers needed any more __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. Doesn't happen to me, but I know it's common with arthritis.

I completely agree with eskielover. Barometric pressure is a bi@&$! I suffer from frequent migraines and am majorly affected by weather (see my other thread). I'm also prone to SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and find that both rainy days and winter days with less sunlight hours trigger depressive episodes. Remember that old Carpenter's song, "Rainy Days and Mondays"? Boy, can I relate to those lyrics!
"Talkin' to myself and feelin' old Sometimes I'd like to quit, nothin' ever seems to fit Hangin' around, nothin' to do but frown Rainy days and Mondays always get me down What I've got they used to call the blues Nothin' is really wrong, feelin' like I don't belong Walkin' around, some kind of lonely clown Rainy days and Mondays always get me down" __________________ imCarly Dx: Cyclothymia Meds: Lithium, 300mg Lamictal, 25mg Cymbalta, 20mg Seroquel, as needed |

My anxiety kicks in before we get a thunderstorm. I get depressed when the seasons change - mostly when the season changes to warmer weather. I don't do well with summer.

Often, storms rolling through mean I will very soon be dealing with a sinus headache, as well as joint aches due to arthritis.
I usually wait until it becomes almost unbearable before I'll take meds for it, as I am resistant to dropping all kinds of pills down my throat. But as I get older, the need for pain relief only seems to increase every year. I would like to try more homeopathic/herbal remedies, but they tend to be expensive. |
