Hi. First, I dont know if this kind of topic is allowed in the forum, hope it isnt against the rules.

One of my big problems is loneliness. And... just want some people to chat. Of course, not any kind of people. People who also deal or have dealt with depression and similar issues.

I preffer inbox chat. Dont know if its ok to ask this in the forum. If any wants to chat Im open to receive messages.

I find so hard to find people to chat on forums (Ive join many),. Ive been 6 years joining to different forums and sites, and havent make any friend or conection.

Its... hell. The silence, dont talk with anyone, really destroys me. I go outside and... does people think someone can have this problem ? I CRAVE for having a conversation. My dream fantasy is have someone to talk. Can any imagine that ? Its pure hell. This sounds very dark, but Im very chill and friendly, just had a messy messy life. Anyway, hope to find some interested to talk.

Hi ManDss. Welcome to the forums here. I certainly understand loneliness. Though I do have my husband at home, I yearn for more people in my life. I recently moved, so the people I had in my past hometown area are mostly out of my life, with some limited exceptions. It is certainly extra rough, when prone to depression. As I have bipolar disorder, I understand that well.

I will say that I mostly communicate with others here on the forums more than PM, but you're welcome to contact me at the latter. Either way, welcome again.

Hi, @ManDss. I know exactly what you're going through. I've always had a lot of trouble making friends (Social Anxiety Disorder) and it's only gotten worse as I've grown older. It's paralyzing. So, I too, am looking for people that I can talk with. And I, too, have jumped from forum to forum hoping to find friends. In many forums the members form cliques and new people are mostly ignored. Having intelligent conversations with a variety of friends, with a variety of interests, would do more good than all the meds in the world.

Hi @Mr Muckle. If you are referring to the Bipolar forum, I think you're only right to a certain degree. Definitely not entirely. That's not to say I haven't read others write something similar. I can say that I (and a handful of others) on that forum do try to involve new members. However, some of those that don't are not so much cliquish, but a little overwhelmed with their own situations. It is true that some can be a tad overly self-focused. I don't hold that against them too much. I suppose if they have ONLY ever been self focused. Just like anything in life, sometimes we need more than we can give. I think that when you do reach out - even in a limited way - you will find someone that will reciprocate. A lot of us have few, if any, good friends in life. I'm one of the latter.

I will say that this website's forums tend to be more close knit than on other websites (say Facebook or Reddit). I think especially in the Reddit case, you'll find few to no cliques. But then you have to deal with that lack of actual close community.

I see that you are fairly new here. Please consider giving the forum you reference another chance. Or if you used to be here under a different username/handle, remember that even if there are few "non-cliquish types", that doesn't mean THEY should be discounted. I've had friendly members say they are leaving because "nobody" was friendly. My thought in response was "What am I then? A nobody?" But it is up to you, in the end.

Hey @Soupe du jour do you think its possible he meant other" forum" he meant another section on another site- maybe using the Vbulletin software.
i used to mod a popular "forum" {site} ( it used to have 1000's of members at one point) and so many members there would say things like " are the forums slow today?"
I might answer: " all good except for the drama in the addictions section. "
At least ask him

Hi, @Soupe du jour, @sarahsweets is correct - I should have used the word "sites" instead of "forums". I really was not referring to this site; after all, I've only been here a few days. What I meant was that I've been on other sites with other forums about other things and witnessed some of the behaviors that I'd pointed out. So far I've been quite happy with what I've seen here and I'm looking forward to becoming an active part of this community.

I'm glad to read this @Mr Muckle. Thank you for clarifying that and thanks to @sarahsweets for understanding that you may have meant it differently from my initial interpretation. Sorry for my confusion. I do hope you will like My Support Forums.

Welcome @ManDss. It's nice to see someone else from South America around. I am in Chile. The pandemic has been very isolating for me due to all the lockdowns we have gone through here.
