Do you use the internet while eating?

I read websites while eating breakfast, sometimes on my phone, sometimes my computer. I was always a reader during meals but think maybe I should go back to books/magazines/newspapers.

I often do. I do read while eat often as well, but magazines or electronic books. I’ve learned the hard way not to read paper books while eating. Spills or grease spots lol

I do. I live alone with my critters & don't have TV, so internet is what I use while eating. Book reading is quiet time curled up in my chair.....no food

Now I want to rewatch Malcolm in the Middle - that was a great show! So was Bernie Mac.

I agree about paper books. Nothing like reading a library book and getting to greasy fingerprints, lol.

I don’t eat while using my phone or watching TV. I like to just sit with my food and be mindful of it. I also often eat in my room and I never watch my TV. I sometimes drink soda in front of the TV though.

I eat and drink while using the internet - they’re both part of my usual unwinding from work routine when I get home.

I do but I'm very careful with it, these days---have destroyed one too many keyboards with spillage of drinks.

No, not anymore. My husband has been home for over a year now. I prepare all meals (three per day) and meals are always at the kitchen table. When I eat, I concentrate on the meal and any conversation with my husband.

In the past when I was still working, or when I was home alone during the day, I would occasionally eat something while online at lunchtime. Never at breakfast or dinner. The same situation as in the first paragraph applied for those meals.

I thought of this question yesterday when I was eating rice cakes. I had 3 on the table. I was distracted by my phone. The next thing I knew all 3 of the rice cakes were gone and I was very confused since I didn’t remember eating them all.

That’s why I try to stay in the moment and not eat while using the Internet or watching TV.

I did something similar while reading a book yesterday. Felt hungry, counted out some crackers, got through them all before I knew it.

It feels weird to just eat without reading something.

I used to because I live alone. But now I am trying to be more mindful about what I eat, so I slow down and eat less. I do have drinks while chatting on here though.

No but I duo watch tv while I eat it’s easier. I’ll be reading a book and put it down to eat but turn on the tv for company while I eat

No, I don't read while eating; too many stoppages while I put food in my mouth. But I do enjoy having my documentaries playing.
