Michael Jackson, Robin Williams, Stephen Hillenburg, and Charlotte Rae were the worst deaths for me. I was more distraught over Robin Williams then I was when my dad died a few months later.

But I know when any of the cast of The Facts Of Life or The Brady Bunch dies I’ll be devastated.

Stephen King for sure will deeply impact me. RuPaul too but I think he’s in pretty good shape and is only in his early 60’s.

But yeah when any of the cast members from The Facts Of Life go I’ll be super down for awhile.

I felt so badly about Robin Williams that someone who brought so much laughter into the world was suffering so.

Odd you should mention Stephen King. I was speculating about his death yesterday.

I will miss Alan Alda when his time comes.

I've been reading all of Stephen King's books lately, so I will miss him too.

I get intuition a lot. Kinda like ESP where I know something big is about to happen. I felt it all day January 2020 and then Kobe Bryant died later that day.

I’ve mentioned this before but I predicted Covid. In December 2019 I got very suddenly uneasy that that Christmas would be the last time things would be peaceful in the world for a long time. Like the feeling just hit me suddenly. And it scared the crap out of me.

Yeah I read a lot of his too. I’m just about 200 pages left of one of his short story books. I’ve read almost 40 of his books in the past 16 years. I’ve read all the famous ones now I’m just reading whatever else he has out. Last month I read Elevation, Gwendys Button Box, and I finished off on where I left on Desperation which I had started in 2015. I read all 3 of those in a row.

When Edward (Eddie) Van Halen passed just under a year ago, it really did feel, to me, like the world was just not as good anymore, not as colorful, just not the same. I still feel that way. It was like a great king or a god had been struck down forever, such was his greatness.

😔🙏🙏🙏

I may feel the same way if any of the current members of Metallica pass away too soon, as well. Such was their specialness to me in my late teens and twenties. 🙏🙏🙏

I think I'm half asleep.

I just looked twice at steven king's name and thought to myself.. is he still alive?. I thought he wasn't

and then it dawned on me I was having a moment and thinking of steven hawking (he is dead, right?. hawking I mean)

michael jackson was huge for me, and I couldn't listen to his music for a year after I heard the news. I grew up with the guy... loved him.

steve irwin crocodile hnunter. I remember being told and litirally throwing myself on the floor in floods of tears

david bowie was a shock, and chester (from linken park) made me very sad too

looking ahead, I will be devistated at the loss of maggie smith. she is a brilliant actress, and also ditto emma thompson.

jimmy carr (UK comedian) will be another one as will ssef mcfarlaine from family guy and ted. he is hilarious

Gerard Way - I know he’s not in the limelight so much these days, but My Chemical Romance’s music has got me through some hard times in the past. They’re still the only band I’ve ever seen live, too.
Sir David Attenborough, because he advocates so much for caring for wildlife and the planet he will be hard to replace. Plus he’s just an all round fascinating person. He’s been to so many places and seen so much.

When Linkin Park's lead singer Chester Bennington died I was very sad. He ended his own life. I found out about it when I was inpatient in the hospital in 2017, I thought it was just a rumor but when I got out I looked it up online and it was true. I listened to his music since I was 10 years old. I' m 27 now. His music got me through a lot of very rough times in my life especially when I was growing up and being homeless on and off with my mom and having mental illness. It was stressful and the music helped me deal with that. I still listen to his music to this day.

same here. They are one of my favorite bands. It was shocking since I had not heard any news from LP for years, and suddenly his death popped up in the headline news everywhere.

After Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip died, I don't have any other celebrity that I care that much about. Even though I'm not Canadian his music really spoke to me and I miss him.

When Douglas Adams died, it was horrifying to me. He was not a celebrity, really, but I adored his books and had a massive crush on him. What a glorious mind he had.

Losing David Bowie was crushing for me for a long time. I still cry when I see photos of him. Robin Williams death was heartbreaking, just heartbreaking; wordy me has no words to express how that felt.

I don't pay much attention to pop culture anymore, so I've lost track of a lot of people who are famous now. I liked the people Roxanne and Raging mentioned. I would add Stephen Fry, and the whole remaining list of great British actors (men and women) who have brought so much richness and colour into my world over the years.

Anyone who has used their fame to also promote humanitarian and wildlife/ environmental causes, like Alan Alda, will naturally make the list. (My brain's not operating well today, or I'd have more names to add.)

I've already lost so many heroes, and it's always been a wrench, every time I sense that light leaving the world forever.

um, are you sure Gerard has died? I can't find any news about that.
He hasn’t - the title is asking about who’s death in future you think will affect you, though talking about famous people who have already died is inevitable and wouldn’t really merit a separate post.
As for celebrities who have already died, I have felt shocked by many initially but didn’t feel deeply saddened by them. One person I do miss though is Terry Pratchett. His books and short stories in general are just absolute genius.

Celebrity deaths don’t really affect me. I’m sad sure with somebody’s death happens but they aren’t in my circle and don’t affect my life. Real people who I interact with in real life will have an impact on me. Gene Roddenberry’s death was sad because he created a whole hopeful world to believe in, but still it’s remote. Robin Williams probably came the closes to affecting me because her suffered MI and died by suicide, some I’ve come close to. As for a future celebrity death. Doubtful any would really affect me. There’s a lot I will be sad about but not to the extent that if affects me.
