One of the biggest peeves: When people ask a question, but do not listen to the answer. So, WHY did you ask me in the first place? So you can passively/aggressively completely IGNORE what I have to say?? Or, worse yet, interrupt me with another question?
Along the same lines: When someone asks for advice, but then patently refuses any suggestions you might offer. That's always a head shaker. |

I find that most people don't want your honest advice. They just want you to agree with their decision.

Yet I've found people love to give advice, whether you want it or not. I know someone who LIKES to receive advice, and as a result she assumes everyone else does. Hence, she's always telling me and others "You should_______" and "Why don't you______?" Because of this, I've stopped confiding in her. It's not safe. And now that I've learned the definition of a "Karen", I realized she has some of those traits. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. When people are late. My mother is notoriously late. ALWAYS. I invited her to an outdoor event this summer. I told her to arrive by 1 45 so we could get seats before the event started at 2. At 2 20, she arrived and was surprised the ceremony was already over. It was my son's college graduation.

In the former, I didn't stop because everything else worked so well. I really clicked with her and felt really comfortable with her otherwise. At least she apologized everytime (though it rang hollow after repeated lateness), but my former hairdresser never did that. Or she'd forget about our appointment altogether. I'm a person who likes to chime in on my own experiences or how I've dealt with situations, but like you I've learned that not everyone appreciates it. So usually, if I give advice, it's because they ask for it. |

Next time seeing him I'll have the counseling over the phone. Oh and by the way, things are fine with me now in case if you're wondering why I'm seeing an Oncologist. |

A pet peeve that I have is when I'm grocery shopping and the store doesn't have the items that I want and need. I could get something else but it wouldn't be as good as the very item I want.

That was years ago. They stopped charging for parking since then for some time and then I also changed doctors. It's not just cause of the lateness and not even an apology or explanation. He always acted like it was the first time he was seeing me. And I had been going to him for DECADES. When this COVID crap happened, I changed doctors. Things are "cold" and "distant" enough as it is out there, with all our divisiveness! And being labeled "non-essential". I didn't want to continue to go to someone where I feel invisible or I don't matter. The lack of bedside manner got to me finally, esp. after years and years and years. I had it. I'm also claustrophobic, and I felt like that in the observation room after my third COVID shot. They had us in this room which felt too close to me. I couldn't wait to get out of there. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. One of my all time biggest pet peeves is inaccurate clocks. I wish all clocks were atomic clocks.

I'm old enough to remember the Time Lady. You called this number to get the exact time. As a kid I found it fascinating. I thought it was a live person on the phone all the time and I didn't know how she did it. If the clock is off in a parking structure and they round up to the nearest 1/4 hour, you end up paying more. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. On the subject of clocks....
My microwave clock annoys me. Why does it gain every time I use the microwave? Once every two weeks I have to reset it as by then, it can be as much as 8/9 minutes fast |

I find a lot of doctors seem dismissive of my concerns and think I'm a hypochondriac. Although they may have a point. I think I've had at least 7 Covid tests, all negative.

Also I don't know why so many things need clocks on them. I know what time it is. On the opposite end, there's an acquaintance with NO CLOCKS at all in the house except for the display on the stove. I'd need at least a few clocks. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. My pet peeves, anyone who is intolerant or racist, people who don't use their brain rate too.

Why I’m the only person that seems to notice when things are amiss in this crap building. Nobody else notices the light is out in the laundry room or there’s a puddle in the lobby which someone could slip on?

Losing a mate to a pair of socks when I KNOW it was in the washer. And I made sure I got everything out.
Yet it "disappeared". Of course that can't happen and nobody would take one sock. And this happened on a favorite pair too. ************** People above me acting like their floor is NOT MY CEILING. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! I read on facebook today that the sock transforms to a tupperware lid that you wont have a matching container for!
