My birthday is so close to Christmas, but I wanted to treat myself anyhow. I thought about what I would most like to coincide with my New Year's Resolution to be a confident Queen, so I bought new earrings and a nacklace on Amazon, and they should arrive by Christmas Eve. I never wear earrings but I've always envied girls who do. My ears are sensitive and somehow I'll lose them by the end of the day. Maybe this time I'll learn how to care for them and with the gold in these earrings hopefully they won't irritate my ears.
Here's a pic of what I got...they were a super good deal, too! Who else bought themselves their own presents for Christmas or birthday? |

Here's a close up of my "Queen Bee" necklace.
Tomorrow I'm going to work on my New Year's Resolutions, and I may type up my game plan later in the day to share with everyone. But my top New Year's Resolution is to build up my self-confidence and become a "Queen" in my own special way. I thought this necklace is so fitting for my goals!!! |

This is probably the first year in a few that I have not deliberately bought myself something.

I usually do buy myself presents, but didn't think of anything this year.
By the way, I couldn't see the photos of your jewelry. |

Have just treated myself to a new laptop. Current one on last legs; most letters have rubbed off keys, lol!
Too good a deal to miss, over £100 off and delivery on Tuesday. |

I didn’t this year, I guess I don’t most years. The only thing I really want is a new car. And that’s. Out of my reach.

I need a new car, too, Nammu. Mine only just scraped through the MOT this year and that cost a bomb!
I haven’t bought anything for myself this year, but I’ll probably get something after Christmas instead. |

I have DID. I treated my littles to some stuffies, my teens to a nail polish set, and myself to a new folding desk. I initially got two for the price of one on sale, but one of them wound up being defective. It's too much of a hassle to exchange it or request to purchase it for 50% off, so I'm returning one of those. I like foldable things so that I can easily pack and move in the future.
I also purchased some winter stuff (scarves and hat set, socks), but I might return or gift one of the winter thingies, since I don't really like it as much as I thought I would). Most of my gifts were given to others though. |

I got myself 3 new pairs of Levis and a pair of Adidas pants. And then a pack of white T shirts and white Tank Tops.
Also I bought myself some Canadian maple Coke and a box of British snacks. |

That sounds strangely amazing! As if coke didn't have enough sugar--but I bet the flavor would be so unique. And what are the types of British snacks you got? My brother lives in Japan and he sent my family Japanese candy--they were so yummy!

I really want to try Canadian maple Coke! It would be a different taste from the high fructose corn syrup they use in the US.

The britsh snacks I got were a can of lemon Fanta, a can of fruit twist Fanta, a white chocolate Aero bar, an orange flavored Aero bar, a big tube of pink chocolate Smarties, a big tube of orange chocolate Smarties, and then just a regular size tube. Aero bars are candy bars with bubbles on the bottom so they instantly melt in your mouth. I've only seen mint and milk chocolate and one time carmael. European Smarties are nothing like the US smarties. They are chocolate kinda like hard M&Ms. But they cant be sold in the US because Smarties are already trademarked. I'd buy them at an international market all the time before I moved. I only eat Japanese flavored Kit Kats. I used to get those monthly snack boxes from Japan until they jacked the prices way up. But my local Asian market always has the current flavor. |

It just tasted like regular Coke. It came in a glass bottle and I thought after the raspberry and peach ones this would be just as good. I looked at the bottle thinking maybe it was just plain Coke but it says Maple Quebec Coke right on the front. Yet I can't seem to even get a hint of maple.

I bet it only had a tiny bit of maple syrup in it. Maple syrup is pretty expensive.

That's a bummer. One of these days I'll go to Canada and try some real Canadian maple syrup. Mmmmmmm.
And how do the Smarties taste with chocolate? Smarties here are chalky and have only so much flavor to them...but that's not to say they're not one of my favorite candies. I asbolutely love smarties, but I can't imagine them with chocolate on them. |
