I’ve been crazy about this topic for years. I have books, read, listen to podcasts and see documentaries about it.
I’m interest not only in Criminalistic but also Criminology in general. I guess there are many reasons behind it. I’m crazy about knowing how people behave, also I want to know what’s out there to protect my love ones and myself, it gives me the possibility to learn about the historic and cultural context in which crimes take place, also it may exist this illusion that myself may be better because I believe I couldn’t commit a crime under any circumstances.

I wanted to know if there’s here any true crime aficionado ( fan, for other countries other than the US)

Feel free to write anything you feel like about this topic. Why you are a follower? How do you get the information? If you are a profesional in this field. Whatever you want to say.
Even if you hate this topic and why. Whatever you want to share.

Thank you 👍

I'm not an aficionado, I just don't have that kind of memory, so I probably can't have in-depth, detailed exchanges about it, but I've always been interested in true crime (and fiction mysteries).

I just recently finished going down an online rabbit hole of reading about
Fred and Rose West and their "House of Horrors" at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester, UK. Truly horrifying.
Thanks for this!

Im starting to become a true crime WRITER aficionado! There have been a few lately who have solved crimes using genealogy and that is interesting to me.

Very much so! What a couple! It took place between the end of 70s and the 80s. I have just look up it. I’m like you. I only have curiosity. I can’t talked about the topic with a solid knowledge.

Each one had their own unhelpful (to be soft) childhood background.
What I see more interesting in this case is how the system didn’t work properly. The siblings of Heather was telling what was happening in the house and they did few to put these kids far away from them.
It was another epoch and I guess they can’t even imagine something like that could happen with such a seemingly normal couple.

A writer! It’s awesome! 😀 Fiction or real events or mixed?

It’s very interesting and a relief what it’s happening with the advances on DNA.
I can’t believe the day was said the Golden State killer was identified. This miserable “human” being and his tiny d!ck were caught.

After that event, something similar happened here with a girl who was killed more than 20 years ago. Noone could solve the puzzle. All the trucks were deleted by the strong rain. Only a little of semen and the test was made to many people who were close to the victim. In the end they made a comparison in a web, like in the case of Deangelo and they identified a brother of the killer who had moved to another country in the days of the killing. He committed suicide in jail. So, no trial was held.

I’m interested at many points but currently I find fascinating profiling, because it’s not easy to catch a serial killer. And the other point I’m very concerned in is family annihilators.
