Hi all,
I've got a lot going for me, and I'm happy to share it with you. Today I spent five hours studying!!! I actually feel terrific about it rather than fried. This morning I spent two hours working on a chapter I worked on last night, and then after a break I spent three hours working on a new chapter. After this, I have one chapter of psychology left before I can say I've finished the class (and I will have an A+ in the class!) and then I have one chapter left in MedTerm before I have my final, which I am confident I'll also have an A in this class. I have been offered the opportunity to interview for a position as a receptionist in the medical field, a position that will not be just another job but a true career. I am beyond excited. And because of the classes I've taken, I'll be at an edge over other candidates and would likely start at a higher pay. I took my cat to my parents for a sleepover, and Elwood is making leaps and bounds in his confidence and as an overall growing kitten. He is making friends with the dog, listens to commands very well even from my parents, and doesn't get hysterical when left alone or in his new cage I built for him with my dad--an identical cage to the one I built for him at home. He's doing so well lately--he's recently been let out on his own in the house, and once the semester's over I'm going to work with him on leash...he does very well in a harness, and I know he's going to love exploring the outside world on leash. I'm taking a trip to see my family out of state this summer--my best friend and I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. My birthday isn't until December, but as hard as it is to see each other, we're celebrating it early. My best friend is planning a 90s themed sleepover and a dinner at a nice restaurant. I'm really excited. I'll also be going gambling with my grandparents and spending time with them as much as possible. My doctors and I are exploring options to treat depression without antidepressants. I cannot take any antidepressants as they cause mania. So we are trying vitamins. I am taking B12, nephro-vite, and D3. So far so good, but the doctor says it'll be another couple months before I really feel the effects. I really hope it works, there's so little I can do to treat my depression without antidepressants. Lots of exciting things on my end! I am ready to start a career, ready for the semester to be over (and after that, 7 units left!!!) and ready to end this depression! |

D3 helps me a lot. I was low in Vitamin D, because I never go outside. Before the supplements I had no energy at all and literally slept all weekend. I was also a bit low in iron, so I take supplements for that too.

The sun comes out very little on the coast...lots of rain and many days of overcast, and this summer is starting out to be a very wet one...It's June 6th and STILL raining hard with no end in sight. So all doctors where I live recommend everyone take their vitamin D!
And my grandparents have done some research and it turns out Vitamin D also helps prevent infection from COVID or at the very least prevent the severity of the virus. So far my depression seems to be easing up. I have tremendous energy and at work I am not as angry. Maybe it's because the semester is ending with an exciting job prospect that is making the current job more tolerable. The doctor did say it takes a couple months to feel the full effect of the vitamins...but who knows, the antidepressant I last took was felt immediately, what truly was an "overnight success"...but that's different than vitamins I suppose... I am really excited because today I got off work early, and while I work on laundry I will also be working on the last psych homework of the semester...after I turn in the questions, the class will be over. This was a very interesting and insightful class and I learned a lot, even though I had very little communication with the teacher or students (even though we did discussions together it wasn't like a true classroom experience) because it is an online course. I am sooooooo ready for the semester to be over!!! |
