What do you understand by support in a mental Health forum like this?

Support on a forum like this is commonality, I guess, because it means people with similar problems get together to help each other deal with those problems. At least that's how I see it. I find support and solace by just logging on most times. Posting is even better I think, because it's a place where I can say what's on my mind and people don't judge me for it. There aren't a lot of other places in the world that are judgment-free.

Why in the Hearth are people going to judge you? We are humans. Noone has the right to judge you. You are a free human being with the right to cope as you can. But, when you are looking for support. Do you only want this, not judgement? or something else?

How about people here who have healed from their mental health issues & have experienced it but have worked through the therapy & the struggle & have come out the other side?

Their experience & challenging the thinking they had been stuck in also can be help/support, not judgment. Sometimes offering a new way of looking at things can be a better support than saying nothing or not providing any possibilities that could help with healing.

I want to say thank you for understanding well the sense I wanted to give this thread. Especially what it comes to the title, specifically with the use of the word “naughty”.

**** Clear language barrier here. I know “naughty” tend to use with other connotation and even knowing it, I was yesterday so lazy that I didn’t look up the dictionary for another more appropriated term. Sorry, my fault.
I wanted to mean, mischievous. Like a kid when it’s doing something a little far from the best behaviour.

The use of naughty along with the few explanation I offered, could have been interpreted in a totally different sense.

Support for me can mean sharing experiences and perspectives, on here I see it as peer support, rather than the support a professional would give.

Sometimes just leaving a hug can be support, someone reading and trying to understand what we are saying can be support.

Advice is quite different.

I see.
I look for a different thing though.
Opinions and advice. Information.
I don’t feel any relief at all by someone giving me a hug.
I rather prefer a push if people consider that I’m wrong. Many times things may be seen better from an outside sight. Even if the person telling me “stop, this is not the way” is wrong. Of course, in the end, the final word and decision is up to oneself.

Here, there are people who knows more than me about many topics and I want to hear them.
One learns from own experiences in the most effective way but also about others’ experiences.
For example, a bulb switched on inside me through sort of a negative comment about another person.

But, well, I guess each person look for different things.
For me, real support is pretty far from what many people look for here.

You won’t ever see me beginning a thread by saying.
Please, be nice with your commentaries. This is already a red flag for me not to reply.

And this about some topics being sort of taboo. I don’t get it. To be honest. This takes a person to no where. Only being attached to their flags, their religions, their political shirts.
It seems as we are not able to evolve.
