Yes, Kate would be fabulous as Queen Consort.

What are you feelings about Harry and Meghan, @*Beth*?

I don't trust Meghan. I didn't from the moment I saw her. I'm concerned that she doesn't have a solid, healthy "core" to her personality, and I'm concerned about her ability to be a strength for Harry, and suspicious about the ability she'll have to be a mother.

Harry...I like him very much and I feel sorry for him. I do believe he has mental health problems, maybe partly inherited or absorbed from Diana, and surely because of her death when he was so young. She was such a warm, affectionate mom. Although Charles did a good job of continuing to raise his sons, the fact is that he had not placed their well-being before his own. That fact is immensely damaging to a child.

But who am I to judge. No one is perfect, that's for sure. I guess...well, the entire situation with Diana was a tragic mess and somehow I feel that Harry got the brunt of it all.

I certainly will. I won't be awake all night to watch the funeral, so I will record it. Will you be watching, rv?

The way you sum it up is very apt.

I agree ...

This is a recent interview with Harry and, in it, he clearly equates what happened to Diana with the media is what's happened to Meghan.

But Meghan wasn't a 20 year-old innocent like Diana was... Meghan is crafty...

Also, Harry was supposed to release a memoir in November, but that's been pushed back now so it can include chapters about the Queen's death.

Hear, hear. Meghan would have you believe that it’s all about her being black, but it’s not. It’s her behavior. I think Harry has a misplaced feeling of protectiveness. I really disliked them airing their dirty laundry with Oprah. I didn’t watch it.

First off, thank you for sharing that video.

I am sitting here, absolutely stunned.

Now I am even more convinced that Harry does have some serious emotional/mental health issues. What shocks me is how bitter he is. He's sensitive, but he's so confused. From this interview and others I've seen with him his emotional maturity seems to be stuck at the age of nine, the little boy who has just lost his precious mother and grieves to this day just as hard as he did that hour.

I wonder if he's conscious of having the central woman in his life another Diana (to him; he's living a fantasy) - but one whose life and death he believes he can control this time around, so he doesn't have to relive the terrible grief of losing his mother? I mean...he alluded to that, but I'm not convinced that he truly comprehends where he stands.

I'm glad that Harry is paying respect to his grandmother. I think that when he looks back years from now, he'll be glad he did what he's doing. And his children will feel proud of him, I think, for honoring the Queen.

As for the racial stuff, I believe that Meghan has some very deep hang-ups about being half black. She straightens her hair so hard it's a wonder she has any hair left. Has had cosmetic surgery to make her facial features more typically Caucasian. Wears light-toned make-up, and generally looks like she feels ashamed for existing. She cowers like she wants to crawl into a hole. That part of her sickness is truly sorrowful. And you are so correct TheGal - Meghan had plenty of life experience as a very unsheltered American before she met Harry. She certainly was no sheltered virgin with only the tiniest inkling of life experience. Diana was sixteen when she met Charles. She was a child...innocently hooked up with a man many years older than she.

It is potentially life-threatening when the situation is such. I was 3 months out of high school when I met and fell madly in love with the man who would become my husband. He is 16 years older than I am. He had all sorts of life experience; I did not. Every tiny remark he'd make, every time he'd take a good look at another woman, all of it...like a knife making raw wounds that would become scars. And yet I kept giving, kept loving. And I never will stop.

No, Meghan is no Diana. I don't wish anything bad for Meghan; I think she tortures herself enough. But that's just it - she is all about herself, her obsession with Meghan. Diana was nothing like that. Diana was so selfless, she was eaten alive.

The "life" book is far from finished. It will be very, very interesting to observe how Prince Harry's life unfolds as the years pass.

It's kind of a strange coincidence. The Queen's funeral falls on the same day as our Armed Forces Day, so they dusted off the Ford Galaxie and boy president rode in it to watch the parade they do every year.

Had Camilla not consorted with Charles, the lovely Diana would be alive and queen. I will never respect her.

That is an interesting (ironic?) situation.
