Well, this is for you to express whatever you want about this celebration.

Any preparations yet? Do you celebrate it or not?
Does this celebration scares you or you are one of these beings who thinks is the best celebration in the year?
Do you feel bothered by the tricks and noises or you are just about to go inside one of these chilling costumes?

Spain, where I am. This celebration is each year more spread. I don’t know…maybe I’m gonna celebrate it for the first time since this year I feel like celebrating everything. I want it to be a secret and give my close a terrifying surprise. Ha, ha, ha, haaaa!

Want to know everything about you and this celebration. Ah, any ideas about costumes and tricks are more than welcome. 👍

Bellow, my favourite vampire, my doggie Miky.

I don't celebrate the holiday but used to have fun with costumes. Here in the country, all the kids go to town & trick or treat around the stores on main street that stay open especially for this to give the country kids a safe place to enjoy & churches do "trunk or treat" where kids can come. Country with farms spread out 1/4 mile apart is not like city trick or treating.

Lol.....when I was in Italy in 1976, Halloween was not celebrated, but the Americans we were there working with had a Halloween party. I chose not to dress up because thought the Italian police might wonder about a mummy wrapped in hotel toilet paper driving a car on the autostrada. Went & enjoyed the party anyway

I love Halloween! It's my favorite. When I was a child and in my teens Halloween was the best day of the year. I always had a carefully created costume. Trick-or-treat was such fun when I was a little girl, then when I was older Halloween parties were a blast!

When I became a mom my husband and I would take our children t-or-t'ing. Such a fun time, although it was not as popular as it was when I was a child. People had begun to be afraid of this and that.

Now there are hardly any t-or-t'ers anymore. It's very sad. I live in an apartment and if I have 2 children come to my door, I am surprised. Like Eskie above said, the children now go to Main Street (the street that runs through the center of town) and stores give out treats. But it's during the day, not at night. What fun is that?! Being out at night is more exciting.

I still love to decorate my windows. I just ordered from Amazon lights to hang up that are bright purple spiders. My neighbors have really done up their windows and door. I love looking at that!

I'm happy to meet someone who also thinks Halloween is fun! Miky is very adorable

My suggestion for a costume is something that you would like to be. Just for that one day, you can be anyone or anything you dream of.

Tricks I'm not so fond of, only nice ones, like a nice surprise.

Enjoy your Halloween, AzulOscuro

We found a box of decorations amount my stuff so now have an adorable purple cat stretching in the window and a high gloss pumpkin and a crackle black and white cat head on the table. Next week when the flowers have gone I’ll be putting out Tim pumpkins in the flower box. I used to get dressed up to hand out candy but don’t anymore. Just not enough tor Ts .

that was supposed to say tin pumpkins. Sir was sitting on me while I was trying to text! 😂 tried to say not enough t or t s ( trick or treaters) but that got messed up too! Sir is now keeping a close eye on the rabbit outside, so I can type better. 😂

Halloween has always been a huge deal for me. I"m huge on costumes and will go to Goodwill to piece together a unique costume. Not a big fan of already made costumes.

This year is my first Halloween on my own, and I decorated amazingly. I've got lots of real pumpkins and tin ghosts staked to the ground and a twirling ghost hanging on a hook. I've got skeleton spiders and a scarecrow and skeleton garland. Inside I have a few more decorations in the windowsill and around the house.

This year is also the first year I am doing a partnered costume with none other than my cat Elwood. We are going to be Jake and Elwood Blues of the Blues Brothers. I got him a collar with a tie and a hat, and I've got a full costume to match. At work, though, I'll be a cute witch because one, it has to be work appropriate--not too scary or too sexy, and I don't want to be the Blues Brothers and have to explain my costume to everyone. My witch costume is fun and inviting which is really important at my work. I work in healthcare so it's gotta be fun and family friendly. With my witch costume, I have a long, red witch dress, a red witch's hat, and a teal-green wig.

I've always been so into Halloween and the whole fall season. My best outfits are my fall outfits, and I love pumpkin everything, even in my drinks.

Oh! Haha, I thought a Tim pumpkin was some kind of special celebratory decoration in your neck of the woods. Gentle scritches for Sir.

Yes, this thing about disguises is too much fun 😀

By the way. What’s trunk or treat in the church?

Thank you very much, @Beth!
I see you enjoyed a lot this day and it’s true. It’s a pity that there’s no humor anymore around the trick or treat. I got what you say about people being scared.

I’m also thinking to decorate my balcony. I have near home one of these Teddy shops (from Germany) and they have all kind of stuff for every celebration and Halloween’s one is the star.

I’m gonna follow your advise to choose my costume. It’s a good idea but it must be something that get the $hit out of people. lol!

Happy Halloween for your kids and you. Well, better said, frightening Halloween!!!! lol 😀

Well, you have just given to me an idea. I’m gonna record a chilling sound just like you crackle cat and play for people when they pass my balcony. 👍👍👍👍👍

I love halloween, but living in a first floor flat I sadly do not get any trick or treaters which is a real shame. But I make the most of it, this year theirs a day of the dead halloween carnival coming to town which the karate club that I go to is taking part in and I am going to be in the carnival . I will be wearing my normal karate uniform , a day of the dead mask, and a blue cape with hopefully some glow snap sticks attached to my karate belt for some glow. last year I went to a halloween party at my old supported living place and went dressed as a zombie vampire that was pretty cool, halloween is my favourite time of year!

Wow! A karataker! I’m not gonna go into any problems or discussions with you. That’s for sure. 😀

That party sounds cool. Wish you enjoy it a lot and scare lots of people.

Miky is adorable.

My class is having a Halloween party. other than that, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have a t-shirt with the Peanuts characters on it trick-or-treating, and I will probably wear that.

Thank you. Yes, he is adorable. 😀

Cool. Sure you are gonna have fun. What’s your favourite Peanuts character? Maybe, you could dress up as her or him. 😀

A trunk-or-treat...I think it's when people park their cars in their church parking lot and give out candy from their car to kids who are in costume. Sounds odd to me, but...??

I made a Halloween wreath to hang on my front door. It came out nice! Lots of dazzling purple lights with fat spiders stuck on the lights so the spiders are lit up. Stciks, and fake cob-webs that move in the breeze.

Tomorrow I'm hanging some marigolds on my door for Dia de los Muertos. I have many Mexican neighbors who celebrate Day of the Dead. Actually, 2 days.

I will also be hanging a long strand of purple spider lights inside of my apartment.

I'm hoping to dress up as the wicked queen of narnia (white witch), and scare the kids.

last year, we got a lot of trick or treaters- and I'm hoping for a similar turnout this year. it's fun to see all the costumes the kids have and I love giving out lollypops
