Nice conversation we're having. This thread has had over 800 views but so far it's mostly us talking. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. I'm a very BUSY Business Kitty, so make an appointment next time." |

Me either. I prefer threads that keep moving anyway, as the reason I come on here is to interact or socialize. I hate threads that have just a few replies then people stop. Or there's no reply at all.

Oh same here and I’ve actually deleted threads that didn’t get any replies after a certain period of time since there’s no point in having them up.

If you search "unanswered threads" you'll find a LOT. From all forums. Well I'm relieved yesterday is over, but since today is kind of an unofficial holiday, people are still in that mindset. It's a 4 day WEEKEND. I'm glad my gym is open at least. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. I just go to the grocery store, no other store. My favorite cashier there hates the holidays because customers are mean and irritable at this time. Geez, I wonder why. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. I'm a very BUSY Business Kitty, so make an appointment next time." |

I joined Facebook the year after it started and it moved so fast that keeping up with posts was nearly impossible. The place was a party-every-day. Now there are 2 or 3 posts per day on my feed. I usually have 1 or 2 messages every day there, and 1 of them is from my son. I have belonged to several fb groups and almost all of them are basically dead. There is only one, it is on a very specific healthcare subject, and that group is active, fortunately. So I'd say that Facebook is drastically slower. As is Instagram. I exited Twitter years ago; it has become rife with rubbish, ads, and...rubbish. Time-waster. I will forever miss MySpace because of the music, but that's a done deal many memories ago. So it's not just forums that have slowed down. Really, I see more activity here than in most places. Social media, while still breathing, is definitely asthmatic. __________________ |

Most: Yom Kippur. There's something relaxing about not being allowed to work, eat or dring for an entire day. Least: Christmas. No need to explain.

I didn't even know what Tik Tok was until I asked a teenager. Instagram is supposed to still be busy, and Snapchat too I think? I dunno, I don't use any of them or plan to. I'm still old school, always worried about privacy and security, no matter what the company promises. And I hate the long, tiny print of "terms and conditions", which nobody ever reads, because it's too long and too full of legal mumbo jumbo, probably on purpose. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Least favorite is Christmas, but I like that some people put up pretty lights. So commercialized as we all know and I've no family to get together with now.
Most favorite, Victoria Day in May. It's when is Canadians can begin to look forward to warmer weather, and I like that people still have fireworks, sitting outside with a blanket and hot chocolate or something. |

Never heard of Yom Kippur and that sounds interesting. As for Christmas it's basically the same reasons as everyone else and it's my least favorite holiday too.

Rdgrad, Yom Kippur is a major Jewish holiday usually in the fall, September I think. And involves fasting though I might be getting it mixed up with another holiday they have.
Yeah the “real time” for buses aren’t always accurate here and even the drivers told me that. I also like spring the best because I hate the heat and cold. Spring is just right with mild days and cool nights. I used to get out my tiny tree with lights but years ago the cheap lights all quit working. By that time I hated the holidays and didn’t want to buy new lights. My snowman lamp still works. He’s cute and getting him out tomorrow. He represents not just the holidays but winter. ——— Posted directly on site using iphone __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos.
