I helped untack the horse I was riding today, decided I love horses

I was riding a dark brown horse called Frankie he's lovely, he's just like "oh okay you want me to do XYZ okay fine"

Oh, that IS lovely! I rode horseback quite a bit when I was young and absolutely loved it. What a liberating, joyful feeling it is! How is it that you've come to riding, willowtigger?

Frankie sounds like a kind soul.

Good for you for taking care of him after you rode. I required my students get their horses and put them up afterward. It helps forge a bond and helps students learn the horse is a living, breathing creature not some kind of meat machine.

It's something I wanted to do since I was a teenager, but until we came up here it was unaffordable

I have always loved horses too, since a child & really fell in love with a 3rd cousin's horse we road in the field on their farm in Nebraska. Never wanted to go back to the city after that. Still love horses & take care of my neighbors after losing my horse a year ago. Had fun doing foaling nightwatch early this year with 35 pregnant mares at the thoroughbred farm just down the road from my farm. Glad you are enjoying your horse experience. They are wonderful animals
