Hurricane season lasts until the end of November. There is another frickin' one in the Atlantic taking aim on Florida. We are still trying to clean up from Ian and here comes Nicole. I am so stinking over this whole mess!

Nicole is still a tropical storm. It's not even a tropical depression yet much less a hurricane. That said, I'm scared. Ian brought back old crap from previous storms. That's still fresh and here comes another one. I am right on the edge of freaking out. Am practicing all the coping/self care stuff I know. On the outside I look calm and cool. On the inside I am running in circles flapping my hands in the air.

Yeah but this time I am directly in the path and under Hurricaine warning. With everything else going on with me and I had a med change, it's feeling like too much. My apartment leaked during Ian but I have recaulked so am hoping no water coming in. I am higher in a high rise but on the corner where the winds hit the worst.

I hope everyone stays safe. I am on the Gulf Coast (in Houston) but we have been lucky these past few years.

Slept off and on through the night. Hurricane made landfall south of me. My apartment is dry and although we had a lot of electrical hits, I still have electricity.

I live less than a mile from the intercoastal waterway but no flooding. I have family on the barrier island but they are fine too.

Hope this is the end of Hurricaine s this year.
It's still very windy and rainy here but everything seems to be ok.

The storm is here, arrived during the night. It's raining and windy, but not too bad. Actually it's good weather to stay in the house and read. I'm reading a new-ish collection of short stories by Stephen King.

The dog and the cats are clingy. That's okay with me. I'm enjoying the snuggles.

On a positive note, Ian striped a lot of leaves from my trees. Today's winds just might finish the job!

The stress of the week is finally starting to wear off. There's a part of me that wants to poopoo how it affected me. I'm trying to give myself permission to feel whatever I feel.

Beej is getting less clingy. I don't know if the storm put him on edge or if he was picking up my distress, probably both.

On the plus side there's no damage here at the farm. More sheet metal came loose on the roof of the neighbor's barn. I hope they get it taken down before it blows over here.

The power stayed on!!!! I have an app on my phone for my power company that shows outages. My area of the county got hammered in Ian which meant alot of the equipment out here got replaced. There were no outages in this area!!

Hurricane season ends the end of this month. Puh-leeze no more storms this year.

Una, I am a horrible speller. Autocorrect didn't catch it. There's a t-shirt I love that says "bad spellers of the world untie!"

I thought maybe it was an homage to Nancy Pelosi!

Ive seen other people use the term, sometimes with one H. So i had to look it up.

I was an excellent speller but i think the internet is messing me up. One sees so many incorrect spellings. When i was training for The Great Adult Spelling Bee in the 80's, i read that you become a good speller by reading a lot. But reading isnt the same anymore. Little is edited. It makes me sad to read a published piece with egregious misspellings.
