How do you know? Just wondering. How does a triangle inanimate symbol identify in the first place?

Is there a reason you assign gender to symbols? It’s not unusual to assign gender to objects especially in some languages. But when you say objects “said it”, it raises some concerns

English language doesn’t. Not common. Sometimes people do it with cars but you’re the only member I know of who does it to objects on the forums. I think the red triangle looks more masculine but I’m not going to give it a gender.

I just think I see too much gender assignment irl to want to do it here. It gets a bit tiring.

Gender assignment is a sensitive topic for a lot of people so when someone says that a “dot” is assigned a certain gender, it might rub people the wrong way. Plus you know dots on the screen cannot talk so it can’t tell you anything.
Now if you are just discussing language rules, then maybe you can word it differently. I am trilingual and my other two languages do assign genders to nouns, but it doesn’t mean the objects “tell” me their gender |
