today while i took daughter to her appointment with her t i decided instead of waiting an hour for her doing nothing i would treat mysef, so next door to where daughter goes is a nail saloon and i went there to have my nails done, a hand and arm massage it was great ended up with a lovely purple nail varnish

Ya know...in my whole life I've never had a manicure or pedicure. I don't like long nails so maybe that's why I haven't bothered and I don't want to try to get used to them....I've grown my own before and I just don't like the feeling of them...LOL.
So glad you did some pampering! I think that's awesome and they came out so very pretty!  sabby |

Its not about long nails - I don't have them and probably never will. Its about the pampering. Having someone gently massaging your hands and feet; taking away all that "yuckiness". Any you sitting back, enjoying every moment. Try it, once. You never know - you may enjoy it.

no reason with so many colours to choose from i thought it was safe to go with colours i like pinks purples and this purple was lovely so i choose it

i went a step further today i went and got my hair cut short which i have been putting of coz of the bit of hair loss that i experinced, but its now tidy again and easier to manage
i dont pay a lot to get this done £3.00 all i need to do know is a home dye kit to cover the grey so all togeather i spent £18 to pamper myself you go for it sabby its an experiance that theres no way you wont enjoy it check out all the places and choose the one with enviroment to suit you

I'm glad you took some time to treat yourself!
Oh, and sabby, the nail polish in the salons lasts twice as long as the stuff you put on, it's awesome.

LOL AAAAA - of course the any nail polish will last longer on my nails...cuz I don't wear nail polish!!! LOL
For the first time in about 20 years, I went out and bought make-up and some good Oil of Olay creams and cleansers. I still have a difficult time with make-up. I watch how it's supposed to be applied and I try to follow the directions, yet I don't think I'm doing it correctly nor do I think I look any better...LOL. Sorry Kathy, I hope I'm not hijacking your thread. I don't mean to do that. I think it's great you got your hair cut and styled and colored....I know when I do that it makes me feel awesome! (and lighter too LOL) You are definitely a saavy shopper too sabby |

sabby the nail saloon i went to do make up lesson it costs £30 but if like me youy dont wear make up and think you need a bit for a special ocasion its a good idea
they also do special ocasion make up £22.50 so like i said shop around i searched on the internet first but this saloon wasnt on there so the first thing i did was book my nails and when i got there i picked up a leaflet so go for it and no your not hijacking my thread its good to know everybodys opion
