Is sooo awesome!
This is actually my 5th class with the instructor that teaches this class, her name is Lori. I absolutely adore her, she is the best teacher I've ever come across. She's so high spirited, never boring, yet you gain a lot of knowledge every time. Last semester she got my movie tickets to take my babies to the movies and the semester before she got me museum tickets at the Exhibition Coal Mine....it was so cool. I really have a place in my heart for her, she's impacted me greatly with her wisdom...I want to be like her. In April the pop culture class will be taking a bus up to New York! I'm soooo excited, I've never been to NYC before. We're going to the time square for the Good Morning America show, then we have the rest of the day to ourselves. It's going to be great. The things I've learned about marketing strategies and advertising is very interesting too. It's amazing how they've fooled us and corrupted the minds of our youth. There's much to learned on this topic. Just wanted to brag about how great of a teacher I have and how she's taking us to New York!...thanks! |

What an interesting class that must be! And how exciting that you are taking your first NYC trip too.
I LOVE NYC and I'm fortunate enough to live just over an hour away so we make frequent trips in to "the city" as we call it. I'd be happy to share some tips if you want. It's so much to take in, you can't possibly do and see it all but it sure is fun trying When you say bags, do you mean purses? Definitely no shortage that's for sure, but be wary of some of the street vendors. There are a lot of counterfeiters there. And I just have to add that your teacher has a lovely name....but maybe I'm partial because my first name is also Lori ! Thanks for sharing! Namaste, Misty |

haha..
Yes, I meant purses or any type of bag in the aspect of "purse", I have a closet full and recently bought two more. I usually hit the sales. Hey, some women like shoes...some like clothes...I like my bags and I like them big with a long over the shoulder/chest strap. I'll be very careful with purchases up there. Lori asked that we partner up with somebody or stay in groups so we aren't wondering the city on our owns, we're just little ole country West Virginians...it's going to be a whole new world to what we're used too. I hope it's not as scary as it's portrayed on the TV. So, depending on what my partner wants to do, I hope to do ALOT and make the day of it...have some good stories to tell when I return home. |
