Hugs, when unwanted, can be violating though.

I think there was a case in the south where a kid got arrested for giving a hug. The teacher said it was harrasment. The kids parents said the teacher and school were just being racists.

The stuff I just got a stern warning from my teachers for doing when I was a kid, kids and teenagers are now getting 3-5 years for doing the same stuff.

Kids get 3-5 years for what? How accurate is it? What kids? Do you have any factual evidence?

Not like little kids. But that 6 year old got arrested. I mean like making threats against other schools. Back when I was a teenager if you did that you'd get the cops called on you but they would let you off with just a warning. Now kids who do it go to jail for awhile. It was on CNN.

Also this girl at my school brought razor blades to school in 2008. She spent like 3 days in jail and got expelled but that was it. Now thats a pretty hefty sentence if you do that.

Things are just different now with everything thats gone on in the last 10 years.

That six year old SHOT his teacher! He is currently in a psych hospital, which, IMO, is where he belongs.

As for the student who was charged for "hugging" a teacher, if I remember correctly, they grabbed her breast during the "hug".

Well bringing weapons in school or making threads of harm is not a joke but do you have factual evidence of hefty sentences? 6-year old you are talking about is in psychiatric care.

A kid who brought razor blade would be expelled but I don’t have any facts of anyone serving hefty sentences for that. Do you have actual facts?

Also student who was accused of harassment, actually grabbed teacher’s private parts, not just gave hugs. Let’s be real. No one is arrested for giving hugs. Lots of misinterpretation of facts

I don't know. It just said the student was arrested for givimg his teacher a hug. The student claimed thats all he was doing and he touched her by accident.

So if i say "safe non violence non harassing hugs to anyone who wants" that covers it?

So if someone doesnt want a hug, they dont have one?

Im confused now, so under 18s cant consent to actual hugs?

So two kids hugging each other by choice of both kids, would still be bad?

I don’t have answers for every situation but you could ask a legal professional. Some situations could be tricky. An adult hugging stranger kids even if they said it’s ok, isn’t always appropriate. It depends. Two kids shouldn’t a problem.

If you aren’t talking about hugging but rather just a hug button on the internet then I believe you are ok.
