I never heard this but I listen to or watch very little news these days....

I did know that there is such a thing as drinking too much water, even though we are mostly water and are supposed to drink it daily, esp. if it's hot. Never heard of that contest either, from 16 yrs ago lol.

I don’t know any of them. This preoccupation with famous and so called famous people is silly. Almost 8000 people die each day in USA. Some 300 and something and hour. And because someone did something for 15 minutes their death trumps others? Bah humbug

That's a good point. I also hate how the media will give certain missing people (not necessarily famous) all this attention. (Gabby Petito comes to mind) People go missing all the time, and they don't all get that same amount of public attention. The inequality in this country is off the charts. I'm still remembering how those 5 millionaires in Titan got media attention for days, with other countries joining in the search and rescue effort.

Around the same time, a boat with migrants near Greece capsized. Those people did NOT get the same media attention and search efforts!

There’s a very good tv drama that made those points. Alaska Daily. Thanks to the writers and actors strike it will probably never have a season 2. The show highlights the missing and murdered indigenous woman that until recently and only for a short time weren’t in the media at all.

Technology and especially AI DOES have a downside. Until all this technology, I didn't get scam calls or texts, but now it's almost daily. Occasional sales call or wrong number on our landline when I was a kid, but that's it. Now we have fake or spoofed so-called Caller ID, fake websites, links that release malware, etc.

My phone has to do so many updates and it's a nuisance since I have to go somewhere to connect to a WiFi. Sometimes they are so slow to install too.

Other random thought: Why do they have to say the meeting is at 11 AM? Of course it's AM, as they are open normal business hours only. And I'm long asleep by 11PM.
