I sing a song to my cat all the time...
"Elwoods a pretty boy, yes he's a pretty boy, and all the cats around the town can't compare to the prettiest boy" When my brother and I were little my mom had songs for us. My name was sung with the kit kat jingle to it and my brother had his name sung with the Davey Crockett theme song. Do you ever sing a song to your kids or pets? |

Yes. I had a special made up lullaby about a special place to dream of
A place where unicorns roamed under Silver stars And golden moons There may you sleep tonight Sweet dreams of peace __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. I revised the Eric Clapton song "Lay down Sally" to my cat's name. Which had 3 syllables, so it took some fancy footwork!

I never had children, but did have pet parrots. Unfortunately and tragically, I lost my last parrot about four years ago.
My husband and I did have a song for one, but I can not remember it. That saddens me, greatly. I was so devastated when I lost my most recent guy and right now I can barely think straight. I feel so overwhelmed in so many ways that it is affecting me cognitively. I would like a cat very badly! Not another parrot because of the deep pain from the loss. I need another affectionate being. I feel deprieved now. __________________ Dx: Bipolar type 1 Psych Medications: * Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) 800 mg * Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg * Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 600 mg I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia. |

I used to have this song for my dog that went to the tune of the song SpongeBob sings for Squidward in an episode. But instead of "Squidward, you're the best friend in the world, Squidward, you're the best friend in the sea."
It went "Aragorn, you're the best dog in the world, Aragorn you stink like fried cabbage." Not a song, but I sometimes used to call my other dog Idiota instead of Elliot. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

I taught my kids AC/DC's Big Balls. Yes, the song is juvenile and all about double-entendre, but man, it's hilarious when we sing it together.

All my cats have their own jingles, and of course at breakfast and dinner it's
"It's feeding time at the pet shop every animal gets to eat it's feeding time at the pet shop their very own special treat." __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |
