My dysfunctional family didn’t demand to come visit us. And since I’m sick,we won’t visit them either. I can’t stand them.

I am so glad that my husband will have a nice peaceful quiet Christmas this year free from my moms naggig, criticsm, my dads yelling & criticism & having to listen to him repeat the same old boring annoying stories too.

I don’t need to deal with any fat or weight comments too or get any unsolicited health or diet advice.

They didn’t even call me to bug me at all. My dad can’t drive anymore since he crashed two cars in the last few months because his eye sight is getting worse.

I don’t care if I sound like the grinch, lol.

Anyone who has ever had to deal with difficult annoying parents whi lack boundaries & respect will get this.

I have been doing this for years. Family or not, if they're annoying, rude, selfish, opinionated, nasty, inconsiderate, etc., I will not spend any time with them. Zero regrets.

I choose to spend my holidays (and time in general) with people who are pleasant. Weird, eh?

Good for you! I was forced to soend time with them in the past out of obligation by my husband as they’re family.

And that I should just put up with them as that’s the way that they are. No, I don’t think so. If people can’t behave like civil human beings around me, then I don’t want to be around them period family or not.
