Lol, I like your multiple choice answers.
I'm excited for the eclipse. I'm in the line of sight. So if it's not cloudy, it should be a good show. |

It was partly cloudy where I was, so not bad. However the sun was only covered 55%, I guess. Sunlight outside seemed dim at the peak of it, but the sunlight didn't seem any different than if there was a cloud in front of it. The whole event seemed like a whimper to me. I thought I would see a crowd outside looking up but I hardly saw anyone.

I’ve been watching the coverage on cnn. They are going from place to place as it travels across the continent. They’re in Vermont now. I was disappointed in Niagara Falls. The best coverage was Dallas zoo.

The clouds blew to the east at 1:30 or so and we had all blue. I'll say this and I don't mean to be a bum but for 98.7% totality [rated for my area] it wasn't nearly as dark as I thought it would get. Sun went to a bare sliver too. Hey, but absolutely weird light quality all the same and worth the walkabout. Dreamlike surreal for a few minutes but I guess 100% is where the magic is.

I thought 99% was pretty impressive. It got colder by 4-5 degrees. Darker, looked like dusk. Windy and sky looked stormy and automatic street lights went on. Then as it moved from the peak it got warmer and lighter and sky turned blue. It was magical even if not total

I get excited by such things since I am interested in astronomy. We had a good coverage by the moon but not total. Hubby and I sat in the front yard with our special glasses. It was fun.
I don't understand people in educated countries who think such things are some omen or warning. For goodness sake, it's just the way the moon and the sun move in the sky. |

Yeah I heard on the news that people are saying all these earthquakes and volcano eruptions and now the eclipse mean the world is about to end.
Which honestly wouldnt be too bad tbh with the way things are going. __________________ I'm Blue |

If you want to see some spectacular solar eclipse footage, check out this NASA PBS live recorded eclipses taken at about 7 places across the US on April 8, 2024. Each place is a little different. You may need to skip through some of the talking till you get to the eclipses unless you are interested in what they are talking about.. WATCH: The 2024 total solar eclipse | PBS NewsHour
