Did anyone else hear about this? What did stonehenge ever do. Then they tried spray painting Taylor Swifts plane but sprayed the wrong one.

Sounds like a bunch of whackos

Context: Stonehenge covered in powder paint by Just Stop Oil protesters

I think they'll find removing the paint is not hard. After all, these are stones made of, well, stone that have stood there for thousands of years. I imagine they'll be fine.

These types are like any band of zealots. "We want what we want and we want it...starting now!" Silly buggers...believing they're owners of some sort of righteous message that no-one else has heard of. Get a grip kids. Do some real work and knock off the idealism and the limp 'performance art'. Want to be somebody? Is that it? You need to be valorous rebels? Then organize grassroots thinktanks, educate yourselves [even more if necessary] and begin investigating the practical directions needed in order to even begin healthy change.

No matter how strongly you feel about a very real problem...your understanding on how to address it is a damp biscuit. SMARTEN...TFU. The time is for practical recipes. Not for bad theater you can squawk about on tiktok.

Pardons. There's a lot in the world I'd like to bum-boot these days. Hard to be entirely diplomatic. Esp. at 3AM or so on a Monday morning.

Again, pardon the little rant...just needed to briefly gripe inside a para or two. These art guys/gals bother me. Useless posturing and they ought to see that by now.

@mar dhea, rant away hon! I agree with you. Frankly, I believe defacing things others cherish works against protesters. Instead of creating support for their cause people hate them for what they did, and by reflection, their cause.

BTW, I love "bum boot"!

Thanks. You're right, those little dramas usually aren't supported by anyone but the few like themselves. Thankfully they're fringe and thankfully most of their defacing has been reparable. I have no problem acknowledging climate inaction but this foolishness for sure has a pretty low sperm count. Pardon the metaphor. Pretty limp approach so to speak.
