May be of interest. Tom Waddington is rowing across the Atlantic in support of mental health.

My ex husband sailed across Atlantic few years ago. Not a row boat, small yacht, but it’s still crazy to me. I feel anxiety just thinking about people doing it. Climbing mountains and sailing oceans is just totally petrifying for me.
I do respect the cause. |

Must have been awesome! Can't even imagine rowing solo though. Sensory overload...imagine the nights! A calm night would be mind-blowing enough...imagine the darkest of nights PLUS bad weather! Holy freaking fudge-in-my-drawers! Must be an amazing experience though. Spiritual and life-changing in certain ways...It must be.

Death-defying is still a popular hobby. Probably these days more than ever. One guy is Alex Honnold. He's a rock climber who climbed El Capitan in Yosemite Park using....only his hands, feet and a little bag of chalk dust to keep his hands dry. Talk about ice-cubes for blood!
