This is a whiny, complaining post.

All through the pandemic I was soooo careful about keeping myself safe from Covid, even though I got exposed at work. I got the initial vaccine and all the boosters. Have continued to wear a mask in crowded places in public.

Well, I got the $;*_$@@ virus anyway!!!

I was just feeling "off" last week no specific symptoms, just didn't feel right. Friday I got up feeling like absolute poo. Took a Covid test to prove to myself it was just allergies. SURPRISE! I tested positive. I am so PO'D. I thought I did everything right to protect myself. Obviously I missed something.

On a positive note, so far it's not to bad. Given other health/immune system issues I have I've been afraid Covid would land me in the hospital. So far it's like a really bad case of the flu.

I am sorry. It’s so annoying. Are you taking anti-viral? Paxlovid or what it’s called. The first time I had covid I also took steroids that helped with cough. Anti viral meds do help to expedite healing. I had covid 3 times. And am fully vaccinated. So I hear you. There’s no end to this pandemics

Tested positive late Friday so doctor's office closed. Going to call her tomorrow to see if she'll call in a script for anti-viral and steroid.

Nearest urgent care/walk in is 45 minute drive. I don't have the energy to drive that far.

You did extremely well to avoid it so far, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had it at least once.

Hoping you’ll shake it off soon and don’t get too sick.

Tested positive again today.

I'm sick of being sick. Symptoms are not horrible, just bad enough that I don't want to do anything. I'm getting cranky from being in the house so much. Thinking of puttering around in the yard later.

I've heard people say the worst part of living alone is being sick. I disagree. I HATE people fussing over me when I'm sick. I have two friends who keep texting suggestions for what I should do, pushing me to go to the doctor. I understand they mean well, but wish they would back off. From what I've learned online, if your not sick enough to go to the hospital treat it like a cold or the flu. i.e. treat the symptoms and wait it out.

Times like this being a widow is a relief. When hubby was still alive I was expected to carry on with life if I got sick. Gawd forbid he got sick though. I was expected to wait on him hand and foot.

Sorry, need to whine some more...

I am so ready to be over this! I keep reminding myself it could be worse. I could've ended up in the hospital. Symptoms are really not all that bad. I'm just sick of being sick. I want to get on with life. Am tired of camping on the sofa scrolling on my phone or staring at the babble box.

Whine, whine, whine.....
