Hey friends!!
Anyone dressing up, getting candy for kids, celebrating with spooky movies this year??? Me and my boyfriend, and some of my friends here and there, have been watching some spooky stuff these past few weeks. Saw Practical Magic, House on Haunted Hill, Exorcism of Emily Rose, (and a bunch of other Exorcist movies), End of Days, some Scooby Doo, Courage the Cowardly Dog Episodes, some Sleepy Hollow, Hocus Pocus and a bunch of other movies. Also, this year, my boyfriend convinced me to dress up since I will be working at my store this Halloween. Omg, my boss got on board and even entered me in the Costume Contest at the Mall!! I got really in the mood and even ordered some candy for the kids in the neighborhood, even though do kids even do trick or treating anymore??? I think the new thing is TRUNK- OR-TREAT thing they are doing here in the South - I never honestly heard of that in NYC, lol. So, is anyone celebrating? My costume this year: __________________ Tales of Love, Motivation, and An Interesting Journey - Please Subscribe to my Website on WordPress: Inspired Odyssey's Path to Wellness and Love |

We’re getting dressed up and handing out candy to the kiddos that stop by. I’m a pumpkin this year. After we hand out candy we’re having a dirty bingo game. Last year there was about 15 of us I expect this year will be about the same.

Dirty bingo is great fun. Everyone brings an inexpensive gift ( we have an $5limit) wrapped up and puts it in a pile then everyone sits around a table and shakes two dice. If you get doubles you go get a gift, when all the gifts are gone you keep shaking the dice for 15 more minutes and this time you steal gifts from someone else. It’s great fun and in the end though everyone gets one gift, even though some people end up with a bunch of gifts, we make sure everyone gets one. Because there’s so many of us we have several pairs of dice going at one time. Once there’s was a beautiful wrapped gift that everyone was stealing and it turned out to be TP. That was during the days of the great TP shortage. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. Omg @ Nammu - that dirty bingo concept sounds like so much fun!! Never heard of that before!
Really excited for Halloween this year. Haven't been excited like this since I was ten years old. Here at work, waiting for them to come around and judge for the costume contest - and then going trick or treating with my friends and her kids tonight since the weather is so warm! Hope everyone at least watches a spooky movie tonight, I watched Elvira : Mistress of the Dark last night on Amazon- what a blast from the past!! __________________ Tales of Love, Motivation, and An Interesting Journey - Please Subscribe to my Website on WordPress: Inspired Odyssey's Path to Wellness and Love |

We sitting in the front handing out candy until 6, then at 6:30 playing games. So I don’t know about Halloween tv. I am hoping to see Matlock and Elsbeth.

No plans here. We never get trick or treaters. Out here in the boonies their little legs would fall off before they got to the second house.
No costume because I'm not going anywhere. Though I guess I could be a zombie I'm so exhausted from hurricane clean up. |

I got a potion Macaitto from Dunkin and I watched the Today Show Halloween segement where they all dress up.
I mainly just got halloween food this year. I had the purple Adams Family whopper from Burger King, the Witches Brew float from Sonic, some fall drinks from Starbucks and Dunkins, and I got a few boo buckets from Mcdonalds. I was thinking of getting a Jack O Lantern pizza from Papa Johns tonight, but I might pass. People said I could pass as a trick or treater when I was 24. But it does not seem like a fun idea anymore at age 31. __________________ I'm Blue Last edited by Mountaindewed; Oct 31, 2024 at 02:56 PM.. |

I just ran out of 2 giant bags of candy! We had so many kids this year that I ran out in an hour! I had thought based on last year that I’d have a lot left over. I bought Swedish fish and sour cabbage patch treats to hand out. At first I was handing out two- three bags at a time. I stopped but I still ran out by 4:30. Got the second bag which I had planed of bringing to card games, it was chocolate, but ran out of that too. Had to leave as I was out of candy.

We did a pumpkin lantern this year which was fun, and I made lots of soup with the innards, and roasted the seeds. No sweets this year as we never get trick or treaters, not many kids around here.

We had a massive crowd of trick-or-treaters!!! There were three! (but don't get too excited, that was an exclamation point, not a factorial)
One kid wasn't even dressed up just wore some Tim Burton style T shirt __________________ [Insert thought-provoking and comedic quote here] |

We got a few single trick or treaters and a couple groups. One group of excited older kids came by but they were nice. My sister and bil and the kids showed up for a bit. My nephews were video game characters and my niece was baby shark and my sister and bil were mommy and daddy shark. My niece "had a dookie" as my 11 year old nephew said and my sister had to deal with it.
