This AM when I woke up there was about 6 inches of snow that fell over night, an additional 12 inches fell from 8am to 12pm. I got stuck in the Subway parking lot and my boss had to come push me out. At 2pm they decided to send everyone home (partly because it took me an hour and a half to go 2 miles). My car is still at work (I don't have a winter car) and got a ride home with someone who had a truck! The forecast had said 6-10 inches for our area... but it's WAY past that!!! It's a snow day!

They are recommending 4x4 or snow chains if you MUST go out... I think I might have to invest in a pair of snow chains for next time!

The kids should have had a snow day! But no, they made them go to school and ended up sending them back home. Of course our school was the LAST to admit that they couldn't make it through the day!

Oh my, where in arizona do you live that gets that kind of snow????

I have to admit, I am very very very jealous. I am sitting here is Kentucky & it just poured rain with a huge thunderstorm this morning, but no snow. We have only had 2 days with each less than 1 inch of snow. First day, the snow lasted 4 days, but the last time, the snow was gone by the afternoon.

I so love the snow & was so praying for snow here in KY since I only had 5 days in the past 20 years of snow at my California house. I always vacationed to Jackson Hole Wyo in February for my birthday presant to myself so I could have snow on my birthday.....I just love the peaceful calmness of the snowflakes floating down & landing softly on the ground....sitting by the window, sipping hot tea & watching the beautiful white fluffy snow pile up....sometimes with the nice fireplace going also.....it is just such a warm cozy feeling watching the beauty of nature in the winter that brings that pure white covering to everything.....there is nothing like the beauty of snow!!!!

Enjoy it, but stay safe & don't go out except to build a snowman or throw a couple of snowballs,
Debbie

Wow that is a lot of snow!

It snowed about 6 inches here a couple days ago. I haven't seen it snow before so I was fairly impressed - but sounds like you got a whole heap more than we did!

I didn't get to make a snowman 'cause I didn't have any waterproof gloves :-(

It is almost completely melted now. Today was MUCH warmer - long sleeve t-shirt weather really.

Hope you enjoy the snow :-)

I'm in the White Mountains of AZ, at 6,300 ft. My old apartment where I moved from 2 weekends ago was at 7,200ft where it snows twice as much!

You must be getting the snowstorm we had on Fri. I took my car out on Fri (dumb) wound up almost doing a 360 on a major road and only pulled out of it to wind up stuck in a snowbank LOL. Fortunately there was almost no traffic so I didn't hit anyone. And then I got stuck driving up the driveway to my appartments parking lot. Can't wait for spring.

I want some snow so bad I can't stand it. We haven't had any measurable snow here in a few YEARS. I want to play in some snow It's a snow day! It's a snow day! . We had a dusting the other morning, but an hour after it snowed it was all gone. We are suppose to get stupid ice tonight. Just not any fun.

I'm sick of snow and ice - we had snow flurries last night and I spun out on a highway off ramp - bounced off the embankment and wound up doing a 360. I'm just glad there wasn't any other traffic around.

What pretty pictures SpazKatt!! I would love some snow..we get flurries here and there and a bit of it on the ground but mostly it's just ice and sleet. In fact there calling for freezing rain tonight. That would be nice I really don't want to go to school tomorrow I have an accounting test.
Enjoy all the pretty snow!!!
