ive been nown to get addicted to some games especially platform games,

but since we moved here we havent played on the ps2 much though son has his on constantly, and youngest daughter has now started playing

we have a console in the frontroom
and yesterday while out we found a couple of games we loved playing

they are only ps1 games but we have had them before and they rock

one is hogs of war (a game you can play on your own or with others)
also one of the worms game

from worms to hogs of war
ive finally worked out what they're for
they are a distraction to our day
a hour or two where we drift away
in mindless challanges that we play
they help us get through another day

I have a PS3, but its a backwards compatible model so I have kept a lot of my old PS1 and PS2 games, my favorite PS1 platformer is the Spyro the Dragon series. I also enjoy Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, GT1 and GT2, and Rogue Trip and even though the graphics are not nearly as good as PS2 and PS3 games they are still fun to mess with on occasion.

The final fantasy series is awesome. I'm a huge Metal Gear Solid fan and I recommend Okami it is breathtakingly beautiful. Spyro is good serious too!!

It is ironic but the PS1 versions of Spyro are actually better than the ones that followed on PS2, I was saddened when Insomniac turned in the license on that one to work on Ratchet and Clank, ( a great series in its own right) a good developer can make a big difference in the gaming experiance.

my fav ps2 games are DDR, Guitar hero, kingdom hearts, and star ocean. the last 2 being RPG's.
my fav ps1 game is probably crash bandicoot, and IQube and Final fantasy 8. The sweet thing is that i have my psp set up so i can play all these ps1 games on it without having to worry about consols plugged into the tv.

Okay, I just have to add my two cents.
These are my favorite games, for any/all systems.

Absolute favorite: Legend of Mana for the PS1. I love the graphics, the combat style, the customization, and the music is THE BEST video game music, in my opinion. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is my close second, but that's from Nintendo.

My tastes range from rhythm games like DDR and Guitar Hero, to platformers like Spyro (1, 2, and 3) or Jak and Daxter, to racing games like Gran Turismo (1-4), to sleeper hits like Harvest Moon.

In fact, I'm hoping my first job will be at GameStop.

I like games. playstation games

For PS1: Legend of Mana, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy series, Crash Team Racing, Spyro series.

For PS2: Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Okami (BRILLIANT game). The first Devil May Cry isn't half bad. Ratchet and Clank series as well as Jak 1, 2 and 3 aren't bad.

For PS3: Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction.

I love games that somehow just do an amazing job of invoking my emotions. They do it better than many movies in some cases.

For that, my favorite games are Legend of Mana (I still hate ending the game), Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Zant's chuckle just gives me the creeps), and Okami (didn't buy it, but rented it enough that I could've. I'm getting it for the Wii).

The Myst series for computer does a lot of that as well. Especially the third installment.

The burnout series is awesome, I have Revenge, which was the best one on PS2. I have played Paradise City on PS3 and plan on buying it at some point
