Anybody here like jammin? And got any weird places for it? Like I've always loved jammin with mates on the roof. Good giggle getting up there with all your instruments and eats etc. LOL Jammin Jammin

no it's just playing your instruments free-style...without sheet music, just playing whatever comes into your head.

I would except my harp isn't exactly portable. But I recently took a master class on improvisation on the harp using variations on arrpegios that was really fun because there was a group of us just screwing around with different chord inversions. It was a nice change from the typical conservatory approach to lessons.

Trust me a guitar is way more portable than a 5'7" 55 lb floor harp. Dont' know what I'm going to do when I buy my concert grand - they weigh in at around 98 lbs and I live in a 3'rd floor walkup.

i used to play guitar when I was was in HS and college, we used to hang out in a friends basement and rock out! I had to give it up-two jobs and school, but this year I am going to buy a new one and re-learn some shredding, then find some like minded folks who would not mind an old fogey playing with them

Good idea, you should take it up again. And maybe you can find some other like minded old fogeys to play with you. Jammin
