I am feeling down, so I always think about pets.

I have lots of favorite breeds: Huskies, Malmutes, Golden Retreivers, Corgis, Shelties, Border Collies, Collies, and Eskimo Dogs, and, and ,and, and, and.....

.....but all I own are mixed breeds from shelters! What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed?

I tend to go with big breeds.....not too much into the smaller yappy ones...LOL.

I guess my fav are rottweilers....excellent watch dogs, loving, strong willed, thick headed at times, eat you out of house and home, but loveable as all get out What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed? The three I've had all thought they were lap dogs.....*OUCHIES* What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed?

Beagles! My "baby" was a beagle. But I love dogs in general... couldnt go with a yappy one though, or too high energy or too big. Just wouldnt work out!

I've fallen in love with great Pyrannees dogs - they're huge but really gentle, and are basically just great big babies. My harp teacher has two and when ever I go for my lesson, i get lots of kisses and tail wagging. But when Finn puts his paws on my shoulders he's as tall as I am 5'7"

Never thought I'd like big dogs but these two are so sweet.

And I love Newfoundland dogs too.

I'm a dog person also What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed?

We have 2 female mixed breeds from the pound.

One is a 7 yr. old lab/ rotwieler mix, a big baby who hates water and thinks exersise is walking from the couch to her food bowl and back.

The other is a 14 yr old toy poodle/Lapso mix She just had surgery yesterday for a false pregnancy, who knew? She has always been a sweet, quiet little dog that the neighborhood children just loved. No yapping, nipping, etc. I know, we have been spoiled. I always say our dogs are just a step above stuffed animals...and we love them!!!

But, I do love newfies, great danes, bloodhounds, I guess I am partial to big breeds. What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed?

They also are a great comfort to me when I am down.

Border collies :-)

Love 'em.

I'd like a red one one day.

I also have a soft spot for irish setters (talk about two ends of the intelligence spectrum lol - I think it is about the long red fur)

definatly labs and golden retrievers. i hate german shepards, they sneak up on me and try to attack me randomly for no reason at all. i lived in fear of my moms cousins dog for at least one summer as it would come into our property and try to attack me and my bros if it saw that we were so much as 10 feet outside the house.

i have always loved rottweilers. i had a rottweiler named sadie a few years ago and i dont think any dog i ever have can compare to her. she was, to me, th best dog in the world. and it makes me very upset that people assume all rottweilers are mean and viscious. she never even growled at anyone.

now we have a jack russel (a total change i know) and shes a good dog. very neurotic though. constantly needs attention but shes still a very good dog.

ive also had irish setters and have loved them too.

I love them all as each is as varied as the humans that they have chosen to bond with..

But Goldens have chosen me with their often comic look and a heart that has no bounds...

Huskies. I LOVE Huskies, they are by far my favourite breed of dog. I used to have an amazing husky cross.

After that, I love German Shepards, and Border Collies. I'm also a big fan of Pitbulls, but sadly they're banned in my province What's your favorite breed of dog? or mixed?
